Kudos to everyone that did not succumb to the Biff Tannen-ish arm-twisting of the eBay hoarders! Of course, this isn't exactly the site for weak-willed, money-burning gamers, but 'props' nonetheless! It's a great system, the controller is perfect, and Live Arcade and Achievements are some of the best things added to console gaming in years.

This is not something to hoard. There is no longer any profit to be made off of buying a 360, and the announcement earlier this week that production increased significantly will make situations such as this a more common occurrance over time. We all knew that would happen eventually, and ready availability combined with low/no profit margins makes this a no-brainer to not hoard.

Now, I hope this means that FreePay will finally get their hands on a 360, since I fulfilled all their pyramid scheme requirements on 11/22 and still haven't received a console from them (then again, no one has).

In related news, there was a stack of core and premiums (4 and 8 respectively) at my Best Buy this morning. There was also a nice amount at Fred Meyer's. I would assume that other retailers are the same. It looks like the demand and the supply have finally begun to level off. Now is a good time to pick one up for those that haven't been looking very hard... erm, I mean "unable to find one" since November.

Just so you all know, the 360's a great system. Even if there aren't a lot of games you want now, you'll get a lot of value in the meanwhile from Live Arcade. Certainly enough to justify getting it now rather than waiting for a price drop that'll be no sooner than a year away.

Given that production has supposedly ramped up, 360 systems should be flooding stores in the next few weeks. As a result, I'm probably going to wait until some local store offers a free game or controller with it before I bite (since I missed out on the free remote with launch). If this doesn't happen in the next few months, I can always wait for a price drop next year. I've got more time than money at present. :cry:

Hey looky! Mine just arrived too. I guess I won't complain about the $15 shipping since it arrived overnight. Hard to beat that, especially since this box weighs a ton.

I just used regular ground shipping, but since it shipped from Findlay OH, it only took one day (I live in MI).

Now the work day can't end soon enough. Can't wait to stop by my local Family Video tonight to see if Condemed, Oblivion, GRAW, Full Auto, or Fight Night are available.
