I've been enjoying Yu Gi Oh Nightmare Troubador so much since I bought it with the magic BB coupon. I went to Fry's in Irving last night and they had Oblivion on sale for $47.99. I showed the manager the CompUSA ad and he went ahead and pricematched and also changed the price in the system to $44.99. Enjoy.

Actually, I'm going to bet that it will be. But only the cities with 4 page ads (i.e. - NOT IL and WA) tend to include the upcoming releases on Fridays. Odds are that all the cities will see Dynasty Warriors in Sunday's ad.

Then they shouldn't heighten our expectations by putting every other new release on sale. Honestly, if this was a major loss for them, they wouldn't do it. Their hope is to get you into the store and buy something else. Apparently, they think it works well enough that they continue to do so. They may lose a few bucks on each sale game, but when some guy buys an HDTV to play them on, they get it all back in spades.

I don't believe that is correct. Stores don't take losses on anything sold at MSRP, although one might argue the case for consoles. But they make considerable profits on games and accessories, hence the desire to create "bundles," because it allows them to guarantee a profit from the sale of each console. Now, if the sale price of a game is less than (I'm guessing here) 85-90% of MSRP...then they may be taking a hit.

I known it works on me. Everytime I see something on sale, I go, and then I find something else that I've always wanted or decide i want or something I haven't seen in forever. I go in for one game, and usually end up with a couple.
