Pfft. They haven't announced anything. This is just rumor.

It doesn't matter to me what the name is. I'll probably end up getting it.
Anyways, does anyone know if GO stands for something? (DS = Dual Screen)

The article says that 'go' is the japanese word for 5. Makes sense. Still like 'revolution' more, though.

Probably just 'five' like the article points out. Personally, I don't think this is a Revolution name change. I won't believe it til E3 comes and goes.
EDIT: Gah, Munch.

If they do change it to 'Go', I hope they still emphasize the word 'revolution' in its advertising. It just sounds so cool and differentiates them from the competition.

Lame. Now that I'm used to the Revolution that's what I want to call it.

They won't go with that terrible name.
If they don't name it the Revolution for retail, I hope they give it the ultimate retro treatment and just call it the Nintendo Entertainment System.

OP, I think you need to change the title... even the article says that "If this logo is to be believed".

Wow...it would be really stupid if the final name is Nintendo GO...
And my answer for the poll which isnt a choice is that I'll buy a Revolution after Nintendo shows what it can do...I'm not just going to buy a console blindly that I may or may not like!

I think it'd sound better as "Nintendo Gee-ohh" vs "Nintendo GO", but whatever the name, I'm ready with open arms.

People have been speculating that Nintendo Go is the name of the download service featuring the old games. Time will tell.

If not Revolution I can think of better names than GO like Nintendo Play or Nintendo ON. ;-)

They need to call it the Nintendo Nintendo.
"Nintendo Nintendo. We want to make sure you know what the f*ck you are playing with, bitches."
-or-
"Nintendo Nintendo. DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?"

This is the same image that was speculated about prior/during the GDC discussion yesterday, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Unless it's N5, GO makes ten times more sense as the VC name than the console. It's not moving.

"P-NES the system for guys"
"Do you want to come over today and play with my P-NES?"
"You can play with the P-NES with one hand"
Some 5th grader... "He can't stay after he is coming over after school and we are going to have tons of fun with my new P-NES"
I have so much fun with my P-nes, after school my friend come over...5 of them and we play with it until real late!
Saved the best for last...
"My P-NES broke because like 10 of my friends were playing it"
"Don't worry though, I'm sending it away to get fixxed"
And...
Touching is good.

Nintendo Revolution - the system launch commercial practically writes itself (background music of the Beatles "Revolution" - 'You say you want a Revolution, well you know, we all want to change the world...')
