I want to buy a new NCAA basketball game but am undecided between NCAA March Madness 06 and College Hoops 2K6. I played a bit of NCAA Basketball 2K3 back in the day and though that it was a little above average but after reading the reviews, I have no idea which game to pick now. Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

Im more fond of college hoops 2k6 instead of march madness 2006. The ea game is way too unrealistic since steals come like no big deal. College hoops is nice since its more realistic, as well as played from left to right instead of top to bottom. This makes it seem like you are watching an actual basketball game on tv. Hope this helps you out.

it's lookin like Marvin Williams > Raymond Felton on this case...meaning college hoops > march madness

I am used to playing from a 3rd person view from NCAA Basketball 2k3. Is this not offered in the updated College Hoops game? Or, is the side view better to play after a few games and just takes some minor getting used to?

takes some getting used to but its more realistic since you cant just heave the ball from one side of the court tothe other since you cant see your players that are down court. If you do try to make an unrealistic pass like that the ball will get picked everytime. Also, the team ratings are a bit more realistic in college hoops.
Isnt college hoops cheaper too? Id really consider getting that if I were you.

Is the College Hoops 2k6 really worth $25? The 2k5 game is $7 at ebgames. How long until you would think a price drop would happen?

I may just pick it up now using the EBGAMES B1G1 Free $19.99 online offer that they're having now. At roughly $10 per game, I can't complain.

no clue if you are getting this for ps2 or xbox... but heres a link for the wireless precision ps2 at ebgames for 14.99... pretty sure you could get this for free with the game if you need a kickass wireless controller.

Do not buy March Madness, you will regret it imo. College Hoops is the way to go man.

If you get College Hoops 2k5, my only advice is to watch how the season mode treats you. I keep getting an error when I start a season, save, turn my Xbox off and back on and continue the reason. The weird thing is that this is the ONLY game I ever had issues out if on my xbox. If you do get 2k5, feel free to add me to your live and we can play (waiting on 2k6 to drop myself before I get it).
