Firefox Doesn't Work Correctly

For whatever reason Firefox never detects that I have Windows Media Player. It runs QT fine and it does not have this problem on my desktop, only my laptop. I have reinstalled both programs several times but it has never worked correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Firefox isnt Microsoft, and MS is more than welcome to make it a living hell for Firefox. Take it up with MS... for fixing their software.

ya fuck microsoft really...even though I like windows more than any other OS. I think Microsoft is a trust, but it's obviously a trust for a reason, it has a good consumer base.

I've been looking for a solution to this problem, too, though it doesn't really bother me that much.
