So this weekend I bought an 30gb iPod video at Costco for $308 (tax included). As of today, it's still in its shrink wrap.

I notice on Amazon they have the same iPod for $279.99 with free shipping. I have $50 of credit at Amazon so I could get it for $229.99.

I'm asking on my fellow CAGs what should I do. Should I get the iPod through Amazon and pay $30 extra for the 2 year protection plan. Or should I just keep the Costco purchase iPod because of Costco's no questions ask unlimited return policy?

I don't know what I should do? Trying to make sense what is better for me in the long run.

Id get an iriver from newegg.com... does the exact same thing as the ipod video for a hell of a lot cheaper.

using a student discount from apple.com you can get a 30gb video engraved for $270 or a 60gb for $370

personally I'd just keep the ipod from costco until you find a really good deal

then return costco one and get the really good deal one.

that way you can still keep the same ipod if you wish

Yeah, I think I'm am going to keep this one from Costco, because my coworker has had a lot of problems with his 4th generation iPod and the exchange policy through Apple is just to get a refurbished one. He has gone through 4-5 of them already. With the Costco warranty you can return it for a new one if it breaks two years from now.
