Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (HOU), Chicago (IL), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - Austin, Sacramento, San Diego, AZ, GA, IN, NV, OR), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

beatmania looks enticing considering it's $65 everywhere else or asides from that one Amazon.com special. Is anyone enjoying there's yet? And thanks again for the Fry's post fido, it's always appreciated.

Are those DS or GBA games?

If the title isn't a giveaway (i.e. - Super Mario DS), then I will usually place a (DS) next to DS games. If there is no indication, it's a GBA game.

Just my $.02.

Was in Portland, OR on business, and had to get a couple cables (VGA and audio) on short notice. After making several phone calls, it was clear Fry's was the best place to go.

NOTE: I personally have been to the Fry's in Portland on 4 occasions. Today and another visit, it was a VERY good experience. But 2 other occasions I left there SWEARING I would never go back. It's not as clean, well organized, or well run as EVERY OTHER Fry's store I've been in, so keep this in mind if you decide to go.

The above note said, I walked in and found I was by the video game section. I saw they were supposed to have the new Untold Legends for $29.99, but there were none on the shelf. A little looking, and I found there were SEVERAL under other video games in a locked rack. Fortunately, I was there when they opened, so I got a team member quickly and had a copy a minute later. I then realized they had Splinter Cell, but a quick look at IGN on my cell said don't bother. Then I saw Katamari, and though the rating wasn't super... at $29, I figured it was worth a go so I picked that up as well.

Finally, after walking around and looking at accessories, systems, etc... I walked through the PC games and saw Max Payne 2 for $9.99. While no great shock, as the game is a couple years old now... this is one of my FAVORITE games ever. I played through the story mode THREE times to see the final ending, and I just LOVE this game. HIGHLY recommended if your into bullet time shooters... it's just one of the BEST. (Never did get one of those Max Payne 2 shirts in a XL or XXL. That would have been SWEET!)

Rumble Roses was $54.99, so had I realized I was gonna be there, I wouldn't have ordered it online and paid shipping and tax... but my copy was waiting for me when I got home today, and I only paid about $5 more.

Anyway... the OR location did have some deals today, where I've noticed their prices to be rediculously high in the past. Maybe this will help some of my fellow CAG's. :)

At least Fry's tried to have a bit of a sale on the PC GBA Games. Still, I'm saddened by the recent turn of events by them not having Metroid Prim/Tetris DS on sale. I'll probably GGC the PC GBA games at BB next week. Already got my KH2 this week on release day when I PMed it at CC plus the extra discount. Thanks fido!
