The Best Buy in Lake Forest, CA is having a very strange sale. Many videogames for every system (PS2, XBOX, GC, GBA, DS, & PSP) are part of a sale where you buy 1, you get another for half off. The games in the sale are marked with little stars on the tags, either on the games themselves or on the price tags on the dividers.
There are a lot of games. I couldn't even begin to list them. Here are some that I remember:
PSP Wipeout (which is 19.99)
PSP The Con
DS Castlevania 34.99
DS Dig Dug Digging Strike 19.99
DS Lost in Blue 29.99
PS2 Ape Escape 3 19.99
PS2 Karaoke Revolution Party 39.99
PS2 Karaoke Revolution Country 39.99
PS2 Eye Toy Spy (no camera) 9.99
PS2/XBOX/GC Tak & the Great Juju Challenge 19.99
XBOX Call of Cthulhu 39.99
They also had a lot of 1.99 PS2 Stuntman, XBOX Constantine, and various 1.99 and 9.99 games. No, no James Pond or GBA NMBC left.
I don't think 360 games are part of this sale. I didn't look.
I purchase PSP Wipeout and DS Dig Dug for $30 (19.99 + half of 19.99). It didn't ring up automatically in the system, but both had stars on them on their price dividers. I told the cashier who did a manager override.
This isn't an awesome deal -- I could have gotten both of those for the same price with GGCs -- but it's still good and I didn't have to use up any GGCs (although this store now has tons of them). Those of you who are interested in the higher ticket games can do a lot better.
