i think the logo looks totally stupid and oldshool mac'ish... why are the cds different sizes? Is it supposed to be a small gc disc, and a normal sized rev. disc?

Wow, that's horrible. Looks like a cheap knock-off type system.

The 1980s are knocking the door and want back their retro 80s style that Nintendo has so borrowed for the Revolution logo.

They're even using gradients?

Talk about tacky..

Love the name "Revolution," but that's one ugly logo.

My Revolution logo would be a black silhouette of a patriot standing on bunker hill.

Europe could have Guy Fox and Japan...

I do love the name Revolution, but why are you saying that Nintendo isn't changing it? Just because they've made a logo?

By the way. The plain black and white one looks good.

It'll get tweaked, if not completely changed. Guaranteed.

No offense if this isn't a joke, but... a CAG GS employee is the first one to break the news of the Revolution logo? I guess they cut out the tongues of everyone who went to these conferences.

Happy if the name changes, not too impressed with the logo.

this is the same logo from the Revolutions debut at E3.

nothing new...none of you have seen that before????

that is not the logo nor the name of Nintnedo's next system. plenty of Nintendo Reps have gone on record saying this. i for one hope they do keep the name.

That is not the logo. Nintendo reps have even said Revolution is the codename and that it WILL be changed.

Here's an interview with NOA's (Nintendo of America) senior director of public relations:

IGN: Is Revolution the final name of your new system?

Beth: No, it's not.

IGN: So it's definitely a codename?

Beth: It's a codename.

IGN: And it's going to change?

Beth: It is going to change.

IGN: Great. When are you going to reveal the final name?

Beth: Well, you're going to have to wait and see.

IGN: E3?

Beth: Not quite sure yet.

IGN: Somehow we think that's a lie.

They said the same thing about the DS. I'm glad they stuck with the DS name, though, and I'd be happy if they stuck with the Revolution name.

(Nitro was the original code name of the DS; "DS" was the second code name)

I'm hoping the logo is Scarlet Johanson Riding nude on a horse. It works 2 ways.

A. Just think about it for a second. mmmm

B. It would be great advertising for the flesh light attachment that will be packed in with the "one night in Scarlet" game.

Innovation at it's finest.

Dude, this is old as hell. They first revealed this logo back at E3 2005, I believe.

It's just a placeholder. Yeah, they've been using it at conferences, but only because they wanted some sort of large logo to show during their presentations and whatnot. Showing it at a conference doesn't make it final.

So this was given to you to use at your store? Eh, again, simply as a placeholder to get some exposure before they unveil all the finals.
