Which is crazy to me, because I've seen guides for sale at every single location. Maybe they just don't want anymore? I don't know. Hell, even 50 cents per book would have been ideal.

Just wanted to let everyone know, that the Cash America on 34st S and um... some avenue (it's next to the K-Mart and the Wal-Mart, I don't know what Ave unfortunately, just how to get there lol) has a PSP for $100.

It *looks* like a PSP Slim, it says it's PSP 2001, not sure if it gets comes with a mem card but it has the charger, and the screen looks like it's in really good shape. $99.99 isn't a bad price at all.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I went and picked this up myself. It was only $100 because they said it had no charger, but it had a USB cable / charger that works just like a regular charger. It also came with a car charger. The system is in EXCELLENT shape.

As a huge bonus, when I got home, noticed it had a 2 GB memory card in it, that the pawn shop people must not have noticed.

All that for only $100, what an awesome deal. They sold it at a loss when there was nothing wrong with it at all.

You're going to do a lot of driving for not much payoff. I checked the locator, and the following used copies are available:

Pinellas: 1 Wii

Hillsborough: 1 PS3, 1 Wii, 2 Xbox 360 (360 version doesn't even double your money)

I would've already made the rounds earlier today if it seemed like it was worth the time and gas. There just aren't enough copies to bother.

Back when I was raping all the Sears of their clearance games, I would've gotten any for anyone that asked, but noone ever did. The Citrus PArk Sears had 3 PSUs. I got one, left the other 2 there. Came back a month later & got the 2nd one. Came back 2 weeks after that & got ther 3rd one. I was sure some other CAGs would've jumped on them but they never did.

Well, it looks like someone got the used PS3 copy @ Westshore but theres still one copy at the store on Dale Mabry. I think i'm better off just going for the new ones. $18 -> $30 is still decent, and nearly every store within 10 miles of my house has copies. I guess I don't need to be in too huge of a rush to build up credit. It'll probably be a long time before we get a Blockbuster Plus store here. I've still got a little over $250 left, I just dont want to be completely out if i get a Wii for myself.

Don't even bother with the Targets on Waters Ave. and Kmart from Busch and 56th. Target has NO DEALS whatsoever and Kmart just has a bunch of crappy games like Anubis (Wii) and Viewtiful Joes for PS2 and GC. Anyone knows of a Target or Kmart with good clearance items?????

I'm going to be hitting up 9 Gamestop's today to look for Blockbuster flip fodder. I'll be passing a few Targets, so I guess I can stop in and have a look. I know the Super Target on Dale Mabry/County Line Road didnt have anything good.

I'm on vacation til the 12th, so i'm going to have plenty of time to drive around. I had plans to go to Orlando for a week, but they kind of fell apart when the 'climax' of my vacation (the Disturbed/Five Finger Death Punch concert next Thursday) sold out. Ah well, after this i'll still have another two weeks worth of vacation time that I can use for the next big show.

I left a few hundred copies of Assassin's Creed, about 30 Strangleholds, 10 Eye of Judgments, plenty of Folklores & History Channels as well. I was able to turn $750 into $1,400, so I am done for a while.

Have you ever been to the Kmart on 66th st in St. Pete? I have a friend who told me he got some great deals over there a few months ago. When I say great deals, I mean games that are regularly priced at $10-$20, would be $3 over there.

I used to work there a long long time ago.

None of that stuff at K-Mart really interests me since I'm extremely picky about what I buy (i.e most of the stuff at $3 is generally crap and I won't play it due to time and other games, but that's just me), and then there are other people in this thread who have K-Mart stuff pretty much locked down so I don't even bother with it. I leave most of the K-Mart / Sears / Gamerush stuff to the people like Elmyra and Berzerker, I just don't have the time (or patience) for it anymore.

I don't usually bother with clearances at all, but I always make time for the CC ones because there are usually a handful of games worth getting, and early in the month the pickings are pretty good since the employee's don't regularly pull the clearance stuff to put into the bin. Plus I can get in, find a game, and get out quickly, and don't have to wait for someone to open the case... man, I hate that so much.

A year ago, I got two DK Bongos, Donkey Conga 1+2, & Jungle Beat for $15. The is was the Kmart on Florida & Waters. Also, I've gotten some decent games for 10 bux (Baten Kaitos, Oddworld Strangers Wrath, Darkwatch, SF Anniversary Collection, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Viewtiful Joe, etc)

Last month at the Brandon Kmart, I found a Non-Platinum Hits of Dead or Alive 4 for $20 (it's 30 everywhere else w/ PH cover). Also, they had a copy of Sega Genesis Mega Collection (Non-GH, PS2) stickered at $9.99 and another right next to it for $19.99. I asked the customer serivce rep, what the correct price was. He responded he'd sell it to me for $9.99. very cool.

BTW, I'm still living in 2005, lol

K-Mart did this back in the Rhino days... remember Nightmare Before Christmas for Xbox? It was $3 on clearance, however it was restickered with the "Holiday" barcode's to ring up $15 or $20!! I remember on one copy I took the barcode off, and got it for $3, since it was on an endcap and not in the glass case.

So yea, that's nothing new for good old K-Mart.

If you do Craigslist, do it in the day time, at a highly populated place, like a Wal-Mart parking lot. I sold a ton of guides on CL, and met the guy in a fast food parking lot at 12:30 in the afternoon ;) And my fiancee just bought a truck off Craigslist as well, so as long as you're safe, you can greatly benefit from CL since it's cash in hand very very quickly.

When the guy found out I lived on the same block as him (small world), he wanted to do the deal tonight, but I told him I only had $26 in cash on me (truth).

He told me someone else had wrote him and was willing to do $30 now, so he was going to give me a chance to find the extra $4, so I just went to 7-11 and got some cash back, heh.

They're actually one of the more higher priced pawns. Most sell Xbox, GC, & Ps2 games for $5-$7 each. Last time I was there, I even saw a genesis priced 54.99.

I got a GH copy of SotC for $6 yesterday at a pawn. I didn't like it :cry:

Went to two Target's today... the one on Tyrone, and the one in Parkside Mall.

Both had some random clearance games like Kane and Lynch and The Club for PS3 for $27.98, a ton of sports games, but nothing other than that.

If anyone finds an FF Revenant Wings on clearance at Target, let me know :( I went looking for that and the 4000 point Live card's that are also on clearance, but those two Target's had neither. No Lair's here.

If anyone is interested, the Cash America on 34th St N and 13th Ave N had two copies of Gears of War for $20 and $25... I have no idea what the differences between the two were.

They also had a 360 Turok for $35, Vegas 1 for $25, and then a whole bunch of overpriced games, like Tiger Woods 06 for $30!!!

They also had The Game Plan blu ray for $35 used, which is $5 *over* what it costs brand new in any store. But, they also had 4 or 5 PS3 games for $15... Sonic, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and a few others.

But I did find one score there, which was Starfox 64 for $5... the lady had no idea what it cost, so just said "$5 even?" so I went for it. They had a few other N64 games, but they were mostly sports and were pretty beat up. I'm not sure if the $5 price holds across the board, either, it might be YMMV depending upon who rings you up.

The huge score of the day was finding a Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 for PS2 for $7.50 ;) The case is a bit beat up, but I'm not going to worry about it.

I declined that Baldur's Gate 2 yesterday. It was at the Cash America next to KMart, I already have 2 copies and thought another CAG would find it and Voila. The case looked really horrible from the side, I hope the game was in good shape.

Yea, the manual is in good condition, the game has minor scratches (but the same you'd find anywhere), and while the case looks bad on the side, it's in good condition barring one thing.

Only real problem is on the back side near the spine, there is a rip in the insert... but it's really minor, and for $8 for a $40 game, I will deal with it ;) I was expecting the insides to look like a train wreck, so I was pleasantly surprised! The alternative is spending way more on the game than I personally think it's worth, so it ended up being the right price since I just want to play it. From the side, the only problem is that the case's plastic is ripped, and that's easy enough to fix with a spare case lying around.

Hey Otherguy, you still looking to sell those guides? I'm gonna email the guy again, see what's going on.

Also forgot to mention that I dug through the DS games at that K-Mart next to the Cash America, and managed to find Contact for the DS!

Ha, actually, I had to go to USF Tampa for some things, so just decided to swing by and pick one up for $19.98 at that Target ;) Thanks a ton! I also nabbed Fable Lost Chapters for $9.98 for Xbox, I guess they found some in the back room.

SegaSonic - I went to the pawn with the N64 games, but sadly the Zelda, Goldeneye, and Banjo games were all gone. I got a few games for $23 total - Pilotwings 64, Wave Race 64, Excitebike 64, and Blast Corps. They were around $4 - $5 a piece, Pilotwings was $8 but I went for it anyways... all the prices were about what I'd pay on Ebay for cost + ship, sometimes a few bucks less in the case of Blast Corps, which they gave to me for $3 for some reason.

I picked up an N64 I found on Craigslist... $30 for the system, two controller, Mario Kart 64 (!!), and Nascar 99. I'm sure I could have found one at a yard sale, but Mario Kart 64 is like $20 or so alone on Ebay (I don't hit pawns enough to get lucky), and the fiancee loves the game, so I went for it.

If anyone ever wants me to pick anything up for them that I find, let me know! In return, I'm looking for cheap N64 games, so I'm hoping maybe the people who hit the pawn's more enough than me might find some better luck =/ All I have is what I listed here, plus Starfox 64.. I'm looking for any Nintendo made game, or stuff like Doom 64. The pawn's in Saint Pete don't have many N64 games =/

Edit: They sold me the Blast Corps cart for $3 since it was so dirty... once I was done cleaning it, it looks brand spanking new. I even got the sticker residue off the sticker on the back of the cart!

As a sweet bonus, the N64 had the expansion pack in it! Just checked it, so that's one less thing to hunt down.

KI Gold (was drawn all over the label and cart with pen... got all the pen off but the label ended up being faded where it was, but it's still a HUGE improvement over what it looked like).

I definitely won't complain for $3.33 a cart.. it took me about an hour and a half to clean them all, but totally worth it.

Now if only I could find some Mario games, or OoT, I'd be all set ;) It's funny, the most common N64 games are the ones I can't find =O

When you get free time, just pick a route & go (for example, down Nebraska Avenue). I get a lot of great deals from those pawns. Lock your car doors though.

I picked up a Ps3 today at walmart, a few people in line with me at 12:00am at a Brandon Walmart. I have a preorder in for the MGS Bundle, but I'll probably cancel it now. I have a Ps2, so that's not a big deal to me. I'm really surprised how quiet the Ps3 is compared with the 360, pretty amazing.

You know, I just had a GREAT experience with craigslist here in TPA (though I was the buyer, not the seller). Got a used Xbox 360, 2nd wireless controller, play & charge, wireless adapter, rock band with instruments, GH II with guitar, and around 10 other games (Halo 3 legendary edition, GoW, Mass Effect, COD4, Bioshock, Lost Odessey, etc) for $400. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop (RRoD), but so far, so good.

I just want to get back what I paid for it ($500 for the bundle and $35 for tax). I also had to get the Blu-Ray remote for the CC deal so I also have that for $25 if you want it. Note to everyone. Avoid the Capital Pawn on Busch at all costs. That has to be the most horrible pawn in the world. I found out that the owner checks Ebay for all his prices, and when I asked him if he had FFVII, he responded "if I did, I wouldn't sell it to you, I'd put it on Ebay". Ya, way to be nice to your customers, asshole. There was also a Wii for $350 & a Genesis for $60. There are also some really shady people working in there so if you dont wanna avoid it for the reasons above, do it for safety.

I live near Brandon and bought 4 of them from that TRU. I left one, but it must have sold. Brandon stores in general are bad for deals. There must be a lot of competition here. I did find another Wii (2 total). One of the Wii's is currently on ebay w/ a sealed Super Smash Bros for $330 shipped (BIN or best offer). I also bought a few Metal Gear Solid LE's. These things are selling like hotcakes on ebay, and I can make at least $20 cash profit on each, not to mention each one only costs me $25~.

Roufuss was originally over here in Pinellas, and I think he was still in Pinellas when he came back. He just used to drive over to Tampa a lot, and so did I, though not much any more. I thought about hitting some Tampa Blockbuster stores until I read about just how thoroughly you were destroying them. ;)

Blockbuster has a B1G1 sale, and Gametop has a Trade 2 get $10 deal making it so you can double the money you spend at BB in Gamestop credit. Gamestop sells games you can then double your credit at Blockbuster. Rinse and repeat

For example:

Buy Eye of Judgement for $18 at GS, Trade it for $36 at BB

Buy $36 of games at Blockbuster and trade them for up to $72 at GS

Buy $72 of flips at GS and trade them for $144 at Blockbuster

So in two trips you've turned $18 cash into $144 credit, from one game. I originally only had $210 cash and $120 GS credit a week and a half ago. Since then i've earned $1,300 GS credit and still have $150 BB and $200 GS credit left for more flips.

Yea, I was there yesterday morning. I've been trying to stick away from buying more than 2 copies of a game due to the fact i've already traded at every location in Hillsborough county except for International & Westshore, and you never know when something is gonna drop in value.


I'm out of BB credit again, but I racked up another $220 GS credit thanks to the store on Dale Mabry/Fletcher (grabbed 22 games, no duplicates). I'll probably go to a few GS's tomorrow and find some more stuff to flip back to Blockbuster since its dump day.

I haven't even touched the Brandon or Pinellas market. It's ready hard to do on weekdays when you work 10am-7pm. On weekends, I barely feel like going to the malls here.

I think i've traded 1 of each of those games to that location. The only thing i've traded multiples of at that store would've been Octomania, Harry Potter, Fatal Inertia, and Fantastic 4.

Don't go to Gamestop, they pay crap, Bestbuy is also not a good place to do it well. Try going to Citrus Park Mall, which is taking Memorial/Sheldon road going north, pass Waters Ave., Linebaugh Ave., then you get to Citrus Park Mall. There is a ton of places to work, specially good restaurants. You are going to love commuting to USF like me for 45 min. or so. I live like 2 min. from where you are. Anyways man, if you have any questions about this area, let me know.

Yeah, there is this place called "Mandaly Arcade" on clearwater beach. They have 3 HDTVs hooked up to all the consoles there are. Plus they have arcade games like DDR and stuff. It's not that expensive and the place is cool too. To me it sounds like a good place to meet, that way nobody has to have place or anything like that. Let's put this thing together boys, it would be cool to have more gaming enthusiasts as friends.

It would basically consist of me giving you games to trade to Blockbuster, you trading them into Blockbuster using one of my value cards, and I pay you 15% of the total value in cash. I usually trade in $200-300 intervals, so it would average $30-$45 per trip to Blockbuster.

Yea, i got banned on a corporate level because i exceeded the $10,000 trade in limit. So, as long as you can stay clear of the 10k, you should be alright.

Went to Super Target on Bruce B Downs today to check to see if they had dropped the price of Pure yet from 29.98 but all the copies were gone this time. They had 6 when I had checked earlier in the week so I don't know if they sold or were stashed somewhere. If someone finds a cheap copy of Pure new for 14.98 or less, I might be interested so feel free to pm me.

Also just an FYI if you had a hidden stash of Ninja Gaiden 2, CiV Rev, and a 120gb hard drive there, I saw some kids pull them out. They were put back in the clearance area. I checked the hard drive but it was still 129.98 or so. Ninja Gaiden was down to 14.98 and Civ Rev I think was still 29.98.

I'm disappointed to hear that video games are still only 25% off there - they were 20% off about a month ago. This clearance should get somewhere good by next summer at the current rate of drops. ;)

I'm actually tempted to get that 20GB, but I can get a used 60GB at Gamestop with cheap trade credit, which seems like the better deal if I decide to get a PS3.

^^ yeah the only thing that hurts it is no wireless. The HDD can be upgraded rather easily. But no matter, I got an 80gb and has played any PS2 game I put in it. If it was in the $300 range, I'd think it's a great deal for brand new.

In case anyone wants to over pay for a PS3 the sears essentials on mlk in st pete has a 20gb PS3 for $499.99 and 25% off since they are closing for a total of $374.99, yes thats right a discontinued item ringing up at $499.99 is not really a bargain, but it does play ps2, and ps1 games. They will not price match it, and its dusty from being hidden by some employee for the last 2 years!!!

My house is wired, so that doesn't mean much to me. I just figure that my trade credit makes the 60GB cheaper. The credit has been flipped back and forth between Gamestop and Gamerush at a profit so many times that its out of pocket cost is around 20% of face value.

I'm disappointed to hear that video games are still only 25% off there - they were 20% off about a month ago. This clearance should get somewhere good by next summer at the current rate of drops. ;)

The guy in electronics said the store closes on Jan 25th. Everything in the store is original retail prices when it hit the store. There is no way that ps3 was out in open for all this time and was not clearanced. So there may never be any real savings in that place.
