I'm looking for a pair of Genesis controllers to use on my old Comodore Amiga 500 (Commodore, Atari, and old Sega controllers were all interchangeable). I looked around on eBay and there seems to be a LOT of these 3rd-party models available: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2-TWO-ORIGINAL-OFFICIAL-SEGA-GENESIS-CONTROLLERS_W0QQitemZ8274765876QQcategoryZ3642QQrd Z1QQcmdZViewItem

Do those look kosher to you? Anyone have experience with these particular controllers? It seems like a really good deal, especially considering that I get TWO and that they are apparently new. Heck for all I know they might be better than the 1st-party models. If anyone has any input I'd love to hear it!

Those are official Sega brand controllers. There were actually 2 versions of the 6 button pad. These newer ones with turbo and older ones without. The ones with turbo replaced the other ones. I feel as if the original ones were a little bit sturdier though.

You can see a history of hardware here:

Thanks, I'm gonna check that page out. Intersting how those were actually released by Sega, I just assumed they were third party because of the Turbo!

I remember using that controller at a friend's, pretty good.
