just to make sure I wasn't staring at perhaps the greatest tragedy in CAG history, I had one price checked. yep, $49.99.

Wow, that's pathetic. Wasn't the MSRP like $9.99? Can't say I'm surprised though considering I have seen 2000 and 2001 PS1 sports games for $19.82 at my local Walmart

How wild, I got it for $9.99 from Wal-Mart itself (their website though) around Christmas.

I can see it now, people will start buying it from WM.com and returning in-store without a receipt.

While I dont agree with that practice at all, but for WalMart to price a title that was always around 10 bucks at 50?... they almost deserve it
Walmart has always, to me, been about the worst place to ever find games... but regular Joe 6-pack WalMart customer doesnt know any better... they are still probably the number one retailer of video games in the US, as they are with everything from groceries to lingerie...

their "huge box full of games" marketing technique shows just about how much value they put on a customer's discerning eye. Same goes for the box of dvds.

There is some good stuff buried in those bins if you dig. Hell that's how I found some classic gems like "Hondo" and "Stay Tuned" on DVD. :D
Especially "Stay Tuned" which is one of the greatest shittiest films ever made on this planet that still pwns. :D :D :D
