With XSATA, the latest devious device from Datel, you can free up hard drive space by transferring content between your console and your PC. You need never run out of hard drive space on your XB360 again!

Using your Xbox 360 file manager software such as the free PC app Xplorer 360, you can transfer materials from your console’s hard drive to your PC, using your computer’s hard disc space to store demos, game saves and other such materials you’re not currently using. When you need them again, just transfer back to the XB360’s drive. Once the data is on your PC, you can email anything that’s not locked to your machine or L!VE account to your friends for them to use on their own consoles too.

XSATA is a plug-and-play device that sits between your XB360’s hard drive and the console itself. There’s no need to remove your XB360’s hard drive to use it. The PC and the 360 can then ‘share’ the HDD so it can remain in place at all times. To connect, just plug the supplied cable into the High Speed USB port on the back of XSATA and into any spare USB port on your PC. XSATA is USB 2.0-compatible, so you can expect ultra-fast transfer speeds of up to 480mbps. It looks great too, with blue laser light giving a real cool edge to your console.

Sounds cool!

If the price is right, and it works, I'll definately pick one up.

Sweet! I won't have to feel so guilty deleting those demos off my system. Straight to DVD-Rs they go! Here's to hoping it's under $50

Nifty piece'a hardware... but I have 14 XBLA titles, three demos, three trailers and a ton of game saves and still have 11 GB free.

If theres a way to "make" albums and then transfer to the 360 I'd definately be picking one up.

Sharing Demos Would Be Cool

I think this is more for the people who have a ton of music on their hard drives, as well as transfering game saves, which is what i would be doing if i would get one, but i scored a cheap mem card so im getting a transfer kit instead

Considering it cost the same as a memory unit this seems like a no brainer. I personally would get one to backup saved games and demos, not make room for more.

I have about 12 demos, ~10 arcade games, 3 additional cds to all the content on the hd that is stock, and about 4 more videos, with around 6GB left. Still have plenty of room left after finally deleting the FFXI. Would use this to back up saves.

That's a great price. I'd buy one once I feel stressed for storage space.

well the only thing you ahve to put in consideration, is do you have a computer close enough to your 360 to be hooked up via usb? My old ass laptop is too like, small to just store all that crap on and still like download shit to it, and then my other computer is too far from it

For me it's ideal because my 360 is literally about 3 feet away from my PC (for now anyway).

Yeah, my PC and 360 are NOT close....this is not the best thing for me. I may just get the transfer kit and a cheap Memory Card.

I don't understand your logic here. The 360 HD is 20 Gig. You have used almost half of that drive in less than 5 months. I'm assuming that you aren't going to get rid of your 360 in a year, hence it is probable that you could fill up a significant portion of that drive in the lifetime of the 360.

The device sounds pretty slick.

7 gigs of the 360's HD are untouchable, though (likely due to BC issues), so he's really only used 3 gb.

I still do not have a 360 but I find it a bit disturbing that many of you have 360s with almost full hard drives. What is MS doing? My original Xbox still says it has over 50,000 blocks free and I have 88 games and over 200 songs on the drive.

Are the demos huge? Or is the amount of download content really big? Or are games caching a bunch and not cleaning up when you quit the game?

Most demos are at least half a gig. So 4 demos on your box and you've already eaten up 20% of the original space available. Add on a couple XBLA games for another 1G and you only have about 7G left for save games and music. I'm one of those people that never overwrites a save game and I know that's why I'm down to 1G.
