Hey i bought a lcd monitor back when kmart was having them on sale, i got that, the car adaptor, and i recently bought a ps1 at GS today, it was mint, used, but had no scratches, controller still in wrapper, the works, brand new.

anywho i get home, and plug my brand ne lcd monitor in the back of it and turn the power on, the system boots up, but the lcd doesnt turn on, even though im using the power cable coming from the lcd's box, cuz the psone power cord wont power them both up i think.

am i doing something wrong?

Are you getting sound from the speakers? If not it could be a bad connection. Did you tighten the screws joining the two units?

I don't think it matters which ac adaptor that you use, but you also might try swapping them.

Essentially the LCD plugs into the back of the PSOne and the ac plugs into the back of the LCD, powering both units. If you are doing this and it still isn't working, something is wrong.

so does the PSone work fine on a normal TV? I'd say that the system itself is the problem..

Good point. I missed the part where he bought the system used. That is more likely the issue.

The psone is mint, it was still i bubble wrap as well as the controls and cables lol, just like new, it works fine on the tv...when i plug in the LCD to the back, screw it in, and hook the av cables from the lcd ports to my tv, the psone works fine....its the monitor that doesnt want to work, it wont turn on, no picture or sound, who can i go to for help??
