I played the demo a bit, and it seemed pretty fun. The home base concept is very interesting. I definitely think it is worth $20.

The CE is really great btw. Comes with a nice hardbound artbook, a DVD featurette, and the packaging is really well done.

Thank you sir... my laptop probably almost hits those, but graphics cards are always messy in that case. I think my desktop is officially toast even if it does have 768 MB of RAM (550 MHz :shock:)

I also had problems with the coupon not working correctly. They basically denied it first and I said I found the coupon on their website. They leave for almost 20 minutes come back and said they couldn't find it. They wanted me to show them on their website were I found the coupon. So I did and then they finally gave it to me for 19.99. I guess it was worth the hassle.

Coupons will always ring up $0.00. What they're supposed to do is hook themselves into the original item's SKU, combine them as a package price, and when finishing up the transaction, the register is supposed to put a pop-up on the register's screen about "Apply package prices?". The cashier is then supposed to accept the package price, which should knock the coupon's value off the game's price.

They shouldn't have to manually adjust the price at all, unless the coupon doesn't scan right, it's a coupon that isn't for an item being used (GGC for PC games sometimes doesn't work for me), or it's a coupon being taken off an item on-sale.

Well i just got my copy an hour ago...i had to deal with a B*tch. I asked may i use the coupon please and she Yells to the manager HOW DO I DO THIS(since it rang up the 0.00)...then the manager says youll have to write it up and manually type it in the computer...so she gets all pissed and slams the yellow pad on the counter...then she yells I NEED A MANAGER KEY when the manager was right next to her...when slide my credit card through she asks for my id so i give my military id (im visiting my family in illinois where there is no base around) then all of a sudden she wants to start acting nice to me....I really wanted to cuss her out but hey i was in a good mood so i just got my game and left.

I made the mistake of using the $5 off any game. $5 off any DS game. $19.99 for the AOE 3. Plus got 2 Gh games for $30 deal.

The cashier made me do 4 purchases.When my coupon would not scan , I figured she was going to deny the AOE 3 then she pulled out the pad to adjust the price. She began to look pretty hot at that point.... Stella! ;)

My salesperson also had a problem that required a managerial override - best part is, when she realized there was a problem, she handed me a coupon book, which contained, among some other decent deals (i.e. 10% off Sandisk Pro Duo, $5 off F.E.A.R., WoW, Oblivion), a $5 off coupon for Age of Empires III.

Went smoothly, overall. Left with Tetris DS and AoEIII for a total of $45.

yea down in nebraska those costumer service people can be a couple cents short of a dollar, up here where edumacation is enforced, our costumer service people ask to see our receipts, then noticed the big yellow attachment with info of the coupon...no ripping off bestbuy with such a nonintuitive technique up here

I didn't find it online... I went to the local Best Buy, didn't see it, asked the employee to check the other stores through the inventory database, and found a store that had one about an hour away.

I have a rep in-store looking for it, and he was nice enough to tell me the SKU # for the CE version: 7484634

SKU # for the non-CE version: 7443983

I called a BB near to home and spoke with a rep there, asking him to see if anyone in St. Louis had a AOE3 CE, which is how I managed to find the SKU # above. He told me that the nearest one is in Carbondale, IL (which is 100+ miles from here), though that they had 4 of them. :-s He then told me that he'd speak to the store there and have them transfer it to his store.

I went in last night, paid for it (with a small issue using the coupon on the CE, since it doesn't explicitly say it can't be used on the CE, though as it's the same price as the CE, it was knocked down to $19.99 AC), he gave me my receipt + a claim check for the item to be transferred, ans said it should be in a week's time. We'll have to see what happens.

After seeing what the CE had in it compared to the regular version, trying this to get a CE seems like a nice risk. Since I have a receipt, it's completely un-doable.

Which is what I made sure I told his boss when I gave him the atta-boy over the work he did. He went well above the normal rep to get me what I was looking for.

Since I have a claim check and a receipt, I should think this should go OK.

Weird... I never needed the SKU.

I just asked for the Age of Empires 3 CE, guy typed in Age of Empires 3 into the inventory system, there were only two entries, it was the bottom one and he searched.

The hardcover artbook alone makes the CE worth it.

I've had too many idiot BB reps who couldn't find anything without the SKU number.

Old habits die hard.

Hopefully, by the end of next week, I'll see the CE myself.
