<EDIT> Please stay away from these sellers as they have been verified to be selling fake pro duos. I have not deleted everything only so that people can know who to look out for when buying pro duos. Other sellers selling at this extremely low price on amazon and other places are probably similar.

Thanks to pimpinc333 for giving us the info.

Please check this link provided by pimpinc333

if you have purchased at any time a pro duo at a heavily heavily discounted price.

Check out seller [yoyowoods] or [digitalmediaoutlet].

They both seem to have great feedback concerning the Sony memory stick. Seems reliable.

I'm probably going to pick one up myself.

>>

New lower price. Yeah I know all the downsides of it but hey just putting it out there for those who really want one now. As of right now, I don't think there is much of a better deal for it.

I think my friend bought from digitalmediaoutlet like 2 weeks ago for $74. Seems like sellers are cutthroat at amazon makerplace, and prices are going down.

the price will only get lower with the 4GB MS.

Thanks, I just ordered one from digitalmediaoutlet (a few dollars more than yoyowoods, but digitalmediaoutlet's feedback rating is much better) for $72 after shipping. I hope I get it in a timely fashion, and it's not a fake.

If you are going to buy a Pro Duo, don't go with Sony. I believe Gamestop did tests between the two brands and Sandisk ended up being faster.

Yeah I'd even suggest people get the Ultra II since it isn't much more and has a lifetime warranty.

Sony MS Pro Duo's only have a 1 year warranty, while Sandisk have either 5 year or lifetime warranty.

Gamestop or Gamespot?

Hmm, this is very tempting, but I think I will hold off until the 4gb sticks come out...

There is a very good chance these are FAKE. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reviews say the package is in Japanese, so who knows who the supplier is.

Even the fake ones work, just not as well, so early reviews by the casual user can't always be trusted.

Yeah, I was just going to say that. Most likely these are fakes. Here's a real good comparison on real vs. fake Sony sticks:

http://pspupdates.qj.net/Real-V-S-Fake-Inside-The-Memory-Sticks/pg/49/aid/18198

While most of the fake ones work, they are built poorly and sometimes don't fit in and out of the memory card slot. Also, some 2gb sticks will actually only have 1gb of space on them.

I'd stay away from these.

however you still have warranty, so if something goes wrong you can get a new (non fake one)

Actually, another problem with the fake sticks is that they don't come with any warranty card or information. So you're pretty much stuck with a fake if it breaks on you.

Well I checked out this yoyowoods' feedback and seems to have nearly 500, with a few negatives. After reading the negatives, they don't relate except for one in which a guy was complaining about the shipping used by the guy. I figured it would be safe enough because one person has to realize that it doesn't hold the right amount or is super slow out of all the people that bought it.

I guess this is a warning though in case you are seriously interested in it.

I bought from YoYoWooods back on the 6th and even with expedited shipping I still haven't gotten my 2GB stick yet. If these are in fact fake sticks I will be contacting the seller for a full refund. I'll let you guys know who it goes since I know the difference between real and fake.

Don't feel too bad I paid 100.00 for my 1 GB Sandisk Gaming but it had 30.00 in rebates.

Yea. It's even lower now. I think it's 61.88 now. I emailed YoYo and they assured me these are legit and if I have any problems with the card they will personally cover it within 1 year. I still haven't botten my order yte but when I do i'll post the results of the "Fake or Not".

You guys are just asking for trouble. I'm sure he'll still be around under the same ID and address in a year to handle your problem.

Check his old feedback. People were complaining how he sold fake knockoff batteries. He is just a counterfeit smuggler.

When I bought from him on April 6th this topic for one wasn't made yet. I also forget that there are faags out there who sell knockoff shit. Once I get this and its not real, I'm gonna do everything in my power to get a full refund. I hate knockoff items.

pimpinc333 you get it in yet?

Not yet and I pissed. I asked him why I didn't recieve it yet and I asked for a Track Number. He sent me the track number and I checked it out. I ordered the 6th and he said he'd ship within 24 hours. Well, He didn't end up shipping it until the 12th. Well again the track number just states the USPS has been notifed that he will be shipping it. There are no records if he has or hasn't yet.

Hopefully I should recieve it soon. Will post once I get it.

you should file a claim at Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee to get your money back

I'll see what happens first. If he is willing to refund all of my money. We will do that then report him to Amazon. If not then I'll report right away. Here is another great article on how to tell fake memory sticks.

I stumbled across it. Good Stuff.

Was browsing around and saw this one this morning. http://www.pricegrabber.com/user_sales_getprod.php?masterid=11139524&lot_id=2846920
$75 for the Sandisk 2GB produo with free shipping. Seller seemed to have pretty good ratings on Pricegrabber.

I say stick with the Sandisk Gaming Memory Cards. Since you can see through them and see what chip they use.

from my experience with amazon you will have a hard time getting your money back. If they seller check his email regularly it will basiclly be your words against his. Amazon will be on his side and keep the commision. People filed claim aganist me 2 times and amazon sided with me both times.

If that happens then my Feedback stating they are fake memory cards will detour some buyers from buying from him. That would be good enough for me :)

the problem is there are other people who dont know they are fake, and they will be replace by people that give him +. In the long you probably lower his feedback by 1%.

The seller contacted me and is allowing my return. They however don't believe any of the articles I showed them on Fake Memory Sticks. They said they only sell legit Memory Cards. O well at least I get my money back.

what about the ms that makes you think it is fake? Just because it has several things in common with a fake card it could still be real. either that or the seller is really clueless.

Take a look at that AferDawn forums link. It states all the info that you should be aware of on Fake MS's. Also I'm pretty sure a seller won't come out and say "Yes, I sell illegal items". :) I'm sure they could get into a lot of trouble for it. It's better for them in there minds to be clueless on the fact.
