I never got a chance to play Zelda: Four Swords when it came on A Link to the Past for GBA, or even when the game came out on the GameCube, so my question is, Do you think Nintendo will release a version of the multiplayer for the DS? I heard rumors of a new Zelda, so I'm not sure what that's all about.
Sorry if this is a repost.

The last thing i was reading, that it is in development. Plus, by the end of the year a Zelda game will come out too.

I hope Nintendo doesn't release it AGAIN. You can play the GBA one on DS so isn't that good enough?
On a side note I hope Nintendo keeps porting all the other classic RPG's to DS.
Super Mario RPG : DS would kick ass

It has been announced that Phantom Hourglass will have a multiplayer mode probably similiar to four swords.

You can't play Four Swords single player can you and since the DS can't link Gameboy games that's out the window isn't it? Unless I'm missing something.

Since that game was co-developed by Square, I doubt this would ever come to be.

I'm pretty sure that Four Swords DS was confirmed for the DS already but then they said there was another Zelda DS game, not FSDS, also in development. I'm guessing we'll see FSDS later on.

Why not? Nintendo's been publishing all of the FF rereleases on the GBA.

It seems like a duh! move. Most people couldn't find 3 friends, GBA's, and cables to play 4 swords (atleast, I couldn't). This over Wifi... oh man.

Maybe back when SE wasnt working with Nintendo anymore you could say that, but now its not out of the question, SE has shown alot of love to Nintendo handhelds
...BUT whats the point of that if the mario and luigi series was just recently put on the DS?

Gives people the chance who never played it to play one of the best RPG's on Nintendo.
Plus Bowser, Mario, AND the stay puff marshmallow kid all on the same team fighting! It was a great game for it's time (and still is). :bouncy:
As for Four Swords DS if it is released, I hope it has wifi to make it playable. Btw can't you use the old GBA link cable on the DS for FS:GBA?

Seriously, I think of a better thing for them to do.

I was wondering about this too. So anyone know for sure if you can't link gba games with DSs?

Not possible, the game was only made to take advantage of that GBA link cable (or the GBA wireless adapter thing). It would have to be reprogrammed to make use of the DS's Wi-Fi feature. I doubt that'd all that difficult though.:)
