In a Q&A session with MSXBOX-World.com, Jacques Hennequet of Volition confirmed that there will be a demo for Saints Row on the way. When asked about the possibility of seeing it on Live, he stated, "Absolutely. Stay tuned for the date and the contents. It will be a very large demo."

So there it is folks. This GTA look-alike will be in your hands before you know it. Gangs, guns and girls: it's next-gen mayhem for the thugs at heart.

GTA ripoffs haven't had the best track record. I hope if nothing else this at least takes advantage of the system's power and gives us an amazing-looking GTA ripoff.

This game screamed garbage since they first announced it.

Still looks fun to play, and should be if it fails, like truecrime.

Volition made Red Faction 1 & 2, as well as The Punisher - three very fun, yet underrated games. I have faith that Saint's Row will be good too

They had some gameplay footage of it on one of the OXM demos a while back where they talked you thru the action as one of the developers played the game. It actually looked pretty good and piqued my interest when intially I couldn't have cared less about the game.

When you think about it there as never been a GTA Rip off game. There have been games that are GTAesque but no trip off's. The closest though would be True crime. Which now that I thik about it was A GAT rip off which totally blew. SO I guess my hopes aren't too high for this one.

There have been far more Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas rip-offs than there have been straight-up Grand Theft Auto rip-offs.

Developers and publishers far and wide were trying to cash in on the urban themes of San Andreas -- very poorly, might I add.

As for straight-up GTA rip-offs, True Crime, Driver and Simpson's Hit & Run (albeit a light-hearted nod) come to mind. San Andreas rip-offs? Too many to list.

I have it pre-ordered at GameRush, so I'm interested in this. I think it looks rather good.

Well Volition is behind this and they did make the awesome Red Faction games, so who knows?

I do know that this is one game that will "make or break" based on the demo.

I agree, I've always thought this looked like a lame GTA rip-off. I can't see it being very good.

I'm keeping an eye on it, but I won't get too hyped.

This was the same developer who said they couldnt put planes into the game beccause the 360 lacks a HDD on all systems. Like -Never4Ever- said The demo will make or break this game.
