I was at CC quite a bit this past weekend (price matching the BB $5 sale) and I found a copy of Waverace Bluestorm at a CC marked at $39.99. Well I knew that I read somewhere the game was usually marked wrong and should ring up for under $10. So, I took it to the front and sure enough it rang up $9.96 and I took it home. Anyway the reason I made this thread was to find out if anyone knew of any other games that are commonly priced incorrectly at CC and us CAGs could easily take advantage of the pricing error.

It's probably the same games that were on clearanced late last year

They are the same as the clearance titles from earlier this year. Two weeks ago I picked up Wild Arms 3 for $9.99, Shenmue II for $9.99, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter for $6.97 and Wipeout Fusion for $6.97.

Also, SNK v. Capcom EO (XB) is either $6.97 or $9.99 (can't remember as I didn't pick it up)

I've tried in vain to find Klonoa 2, but I think I'll have to settle for a $25 used copy from EB or Gamestop.

Here's a link (the prices are not necessarily correct, but the titles are):

I believe it was $9.96, that's what I paid for mine.

this is a great idea for a thread. i never did try this at my cc. i didnt want to grab a handful of games that other people were able to get for cheap and when i would go to try it would ring up at regular prices. can anyone provide any games they were able to ring up for cheaper cause i dont remember which worked.

most titles are marked wrong I find at CC...they get those games price marked at the warehouse...they drop in price from HQ and no monkey goes through and remarks them...what a pain that'd be.

rule of thumb when you go to CC...always have someone check the price of the game...

Is this sarcasm because at frys you see shopping carts filled with games that have been remarked either because a sale has ended or a new one has started.

Fry's, sure. Circuit City, no. Every Circuit City I go to has extremely outdated game prices. Every CC game section is a total fucking mess too.

Yeah, I have noticed my local CC had a lot of mispriced games. They had a big shelf full of Haven marked at $15, but bring it to the register and it rings up for $5. Sheesh, no wonder they can't get rid of them!

I know what you mean about CC being a mess. There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to where a game is placed on the shelf.

Oh man, and recently the music section for every Circuit City near me just went straight to hell. Instead of the horizontal-ish sloped shelves, where you can kind of look down at the CDs and flip through them, they switched to more of a bookshelf design, which sucks. Plus, they are completely out of order; and you can actually see stacks and stacks of those plastic dividers all crammed at the end of each row.

Has anyone noticed that CC game sections are horrible. Games are stacked on top of each other and it is impossible to fine anything. Its so annoying. You gotta rumage through every single title.

They can be pretty bad, but the TRU BOGO bins are the worst. At least there is enough room in the CC bins to organize the games without them all toppling over, and the cases at CC aren't nearly as dangerous.

lol very true. I went to this CC in NYC and seriously there was not one game in order. I got the the point where i was just like screw it and left.

Of the 3 CC's I went to this past weekend I noticed that the two near Detroit, MI both seemed to be in complete order, everything was marked properly and separated. However, when I hit the Lansing-area store the video game section was just a mess. There were plenty of older games tucked away behind new games (That's how I found Waverace). Especially if they had similiar titles, there (IE-the Resident Evil series). TRU BOGO was far worse though, they seemed to just pile the games up on a table or put them in a bin all at random.

which two are you talking about, because there's three reletively near me. the one at 13 and little mack was horrible last time i was there (probably a month or two ago), the one by oakland mall was almost as bad (was there a few weeks ago), and the one on hall road was pretty good the one time i was there (in january).

I went to the one in Novi (Twelve Oaks mall area) and the one in Westland. Novi price matched the BB $5 games if you're interested in that. I just took a copy of the article on gamespot.

I used to work at Circuit City and I can tell you first hand that they couldn't give two craps about remarking games.
