I've got the high scores in 3 of 4 modes: normal, timed, and quest (which is pretty much random).
I still have to get the high score in tokoton, only because it takes sooo long for it to get difficult.
Do the games (normal/tokoton) ever end? I remember somebody posting a spoiler for the ending - does that happen when you get high scores on all 4 modes, or what?
I don't like this game much - there are better match-3 games, and even the DS has the superior Trozei - but having paid $10 for it, I'm compelled to beat it (why, when many PS2 and GC classics are waiting on the shelves, I have no idea).

Bah. Got the high score on tokoton, still no credits or anything.

You have to get through all levels in the normal mode. I think it's something like 16 levels. Not sure if anything happens if you do that in tokoton...I never got that far (takes too damn long).
I dunno, I like it. It's cool playing with the stylus....sure beats playing bejeweled on PC.

yeah, 15/16 levels in normal mode and you get an ending that comes almost out of nowhere. I'm keeping it due to the ending alone (and yeah, only $10).

So, really, what did you make of that ending? I think I need somebody to explain it to me. Then again, I don't have the backstory from the instruction manual.
I finally saw it, by getting past level 15 on easy; I'm not sure if it's different for other difficulty levels.
One annoying thing is that after getting high scores on all 4 modes you unlock the 4th difficulty level (which doubles your scores) but the game doesn't let you know that. Really, how are people supposed to figure it out? (again, it may be in the manual, haven't read it). Shouldn't the game let you know?

So in normal mode there is an easy, normal, hard and 4th mode?

There is a 4th difficulty level. I think it's called "super hard" or something. I'm not sure which modes it applies to - probably all of them.

Ending:
The old guy, Head Zoo Keeper, was a nice guy, had a wife and kid, everything was peachy. Wife dies, he gets depressed. He gets all pissy and pisses off the animals and gets really hard on the new Zoo Keeper.. WHO WAS HIS OWN SON (cue dramatic music). Just a VERY odd ending to a run of the mill puzzle game.

(spoilers only from this point)
Um, still not sure about this... is he in some way blaming the animals for his wife's death? How did she die? Was it like some disease she got from one of the animals?
Damn it, so many games get an anime spin-off, why not this one?
