Just wondering what games out there for xbox live that has few players or non at all. I just picked up the clone wars/tetris combo disc , hit the on line section and couldn't find anyone! same with DOA 1 (from the dual pack disc), no players :(
Any other games out there with low server populations I need to be aware of?

Even with unpopular games, I'm surprised sometimes how fast I can find a game if I start one myself and wait 5 minutes for someone to join.

Aw, that's not fair. I never grief (and neither do my friends) but we've never come across you over Halo 2 before.
Then again, Halo 2 progressively gets worse and worse. Either people keep dropping out of the game or think that being an anonymous racist is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Honestly though, most Live games you are going to pick up will tend to have no one playing most of the time. Some titles like Halo 2, Doom 3, DoA: Ultimate tend to have people on fairly often but others like Outrun 2, Guilty Gear X2, etc. tend to have very few people on, if any at all.
It's just a sort of shot in the dark you have to take, sadly. One remedy is scouring the CAG Live junkies, adding them to your friends list, and see if any will pop into some of your Live games when you jump on. My selection is fairly wide, considering, and if I'm free I'd rather play with someone else than game by myself so I'll pop right on in if possible.
Otherwise...try and stick with some solid titles? I think you may be able to get some of the numbers of people playing Live titles and whatnot somewhere on the internet, although I'm not sure where. Hell, you may even have some luck if you toss Microsoft an e-mail or a phone call to see what games are big on Live. I'm sure they wouldn't mind pushing a few titles your way if it means you'll pick 'em up.

I'll second Bust a Move.
I can never find anyone in Pariah, Spikeout, or Outlaw Volleyball.

I think that MOST Live-compatible games don't get much online play, or at best have only one match going on at any time. I think it'd be far easier to assemble a list of games that do get regular live play, i.e. that you can fire up and be 90% likely to find a game or two going on.

I stopped playing with the general public a long time ago. I create private rooms for my friends and I to enjoy and stay away the racists and griefers. That may be why you can never find anyone on. We're all in private rooms.

Darkwatch was dead a couple days ago and has been everytime i've checked. And DOA2U isn't usually dead, but it seems that everyone has an awful connection, and that game can be laggy as crap anyway.

I second CVS2. That game has seemed dead since SVC Chaos was released, and that game is garbage so I think everyone pretty much quit. Only once or twice have I seen anyone on GGXX Reload. Dead Man's Hand is completely dead, although for good reason. Most of the low end or budget games generally never have anyone on after the first couple of weeks. If it's not a big name release then it's not likely to have much of an online community.
Project Snowblind is pretty dead.
Star Wars:Clone Wars is also pretty dead, sadly. I recently bought this, and was bummed not to be able to play it.

Do people still play counter-strike online? The Xbox version? Thinking about picking it up again, it was my first xbox live game i really got into.

I was on there a few days ago... there is always a couple of rooms filled w/ people... I think its 1 of the top 20 live games.
I do however have a hard time finding a match on street fighter: AC... funnie thing is people still play around w/ the moto GP demo on live...

I think every SNK game is basically dead. That's KOF 02/03, KOF Maxium Impact, CVS: Chaos, and Samuari Showdown. I don't KOF Neowave would be though, it just came out this month...
