View Full Version : help me with my paper?

So, I have to write a 4 page paper on any two U.S. political parties (excluding the Democratics and Republicans) and 4 interest groups. I've decided clearly on the Socialist Party USA and the Libertarian Party and picked two interest groups so far. I've compiled more than enough information and the paper is coming along okay but I still have no intro. Plus, I don't have anything that ties the interest group portion of the paper to the political parties. It feels as though they are two different papers. Any suggestions?
^I'm better at technical writing. :(

I would've picked the "Democratic Republicans" and the Whigs. Pretty much the Democrats and the Republicans of today. At any rate, gimme some info for the intro. Or if you've already written some of the paper, that would be better because otherwise you would probably end up having to change some of your paper.

It has to be current existing parties. And I don't know what even to give you. I'm writing about the socialist party USA and the libertarian party. Maybe something about how, "there are many political 3rd parties changing the landscape of our country, one such party is...." type of thing. I really have no idea.

LOL. Well, if the paper were just about the Socialist Party then I would actually use that and hope that my teacher actually has a sense of humor.

It would be your patriotic duty to do nothing but smear those failures for the entirety of the paper. :D

4 page papers are cheese. Just jot down some bullshit, and fix it when you proofread. It's much easier once you have something down. The intro should be easy. Simply summarize what your paper is going to be about in five or more solid sentences. Just don't give away the conclusion.
