I am hoping for a new Pikmin DS game. I think it could work really well.

WarioLand could be really fun too. I loved Wario Land 4.

I also would like to see a really nice racing game done on the DS. Maybe Nintendo might have to make it themselves. Possibly a new franchise or something for them.

Thats what I also want to see. A brand new propertiy not based on anything else they have done.

You're right, a Pikmin game would work really well!
I'd like to see a revival of an RPG-ish game.. Illusion of Gaia.. Earthbound/Mother 3 on DS would be fantastic.. a sequel to Phoenix Wright.. maybe a new Animal Crossing.. or maybe an Animal Crossing add-on that you can download or buy if you don't have wi-fi..

Pikmin is a VERY good idea.

Freaking Katamari shows up on the one-nub-PSP, but not the DS? WTF? That needs to be rectified, post-haste.

And I know this is about the least creative answer possible, but MORE good, 2-D Castlevania. Yes, I know there have been, like, a million of them already. But they've all been solid, and god bless ’em, I love ’em like my own, little whip-cracking children.

For Katamari, don't get your hopes up. The series is officially over.
For Castlevania, it's already been all-but-confirmed, coming this fall.

I'm hoping that Mother 3 gets a US date. Aside from that...my budget's kinda tight for this year as it is, and all my hopes are for Revolution announcements really. Nintendo already fulfilled my DS dream with the Phantom Hourglass announcement at GDC.

Geez, I hope you're wrong about this. I'm gonna pick up brain age soon and will be dissapointed if all the sudoku games are preloaded. I currently use a 140Kb .jar file that generates a new sudoku every time I use it. If Nintendo can't master something so relatively simple they shouldn't bother including sudokus at all.

Hopefully, the rumored-to-have-been-cancelled Metroid Dread makes an appearance. I'd love more 2D Metroid. I'd also love for Square-Enix to go back and revive the Actraiser franchise, making sure to employ the same music composer from back then (I think it was Yuzo Koshiro, who also did Streets of Rage, some of the Valis series, and a boatload of other classic 16-bit titles). Lastly, a brand-new Streets of Rage with wi-fi or local co-op would be killer.

The Sudoko in Brain Age only includes 100 but it was a thrown in for the US release. The japaneese verison did not include it. Look for more releases if this version sells, which it is expected to.

I would love a 3/2d Metriod Game. We will see if they have it in the works. Seems like Metriod is a strong franchise for the DS already.

I would LOVE for a new Ninja Five O game. I loved that game on the DS and I think the touch screen could explore alot.

Same with a platforming Prince of Persia title. Just would be great to see a return to the old school mixed with new school. Ubisoft has been iffy about DS games. THe Splinter Cell game was just not ready to be released at that time or in that form. I liked the GBA versions of the game and I think they should have gone that route and made a better all around game instead of trying to act like the console version.

I would also love a Rainbow Six game. The gba version was 2D overhead view which was cool. Imagine voice with wifi for that. Maybe even DOOM DS, should be easy to port... every system has Doom.

I'm also hoping for Metroid Dread to resurface. And a new Actraiser? What a great idea; too bad it's not very likely we'll ever see one. I had no idea Yuzo did the music for Actraiser - that's bad ass.

I'm looking forward to pictures of the new Castlevania, too. I'm hoping it has better level design than the last one.

there's 100 puzzles in brain age...I didn't think of a generator. that, of course would be much better. Doubt they'd do that though-- then they couldn't keep coming out with volumes

All of the mentioned above, and maybe a new Pokemon rpg.....yeah I know, Pokemon, but man is that shit fun to play.

There have been TWO all-new Pokemon RPGs released here in Japan for DS:

Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon (blue version -- Red came out for GBA)

Pokemon Rangers: Road to Diamond and Pearl

Also, in regard to a lot of the stuff people have mentioned:

-New Castlevania = CONFIRMED as Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

-Sudoku game for DS = CONFIRMED here: http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=6199
Titled "Sudoku Gridmaster", direct from Nintendo

-Metroid Dread = Possibly still coming according to this: http://ds-x2.com/index.php?id=5073
I sure hope its coming!

My hopefuls:
-new Wario game (I SWEAR I heard this was confirmed....)
-new Zelda 4 swords (if its not to be included in Phantom Hourglass)
-more Square Enix support (I currently have 3 DS games from SE not available in the states!)
-new franchises!!

A Wi-Fi conection-enabled Smash Bros. would be a dream come true, it could even interface with the Revolution Smash Bros.

My second pick would be a tie between Phoniex Wright 2 and an WWE game (preferably a remake of No Mercy with new moves and obviosly a new roster).

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl - Like somebody said before, yeah it's pokemon, but it's so addicting.

New Phoenix Wright - Last one took around 20+ hours to finish and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Starfox DS - Forget all these foot missions, give us some flying action in the vain of Starfox 64 dammit!

SimCity DS - I used to rent this for the SNES all the time but never thought of buying it.

I'll post if I think of more.

For me, I would love an announcement of (in order of interest):

1) Animal Crossing Add-on Cartridge (would go in the lower slot and add a whole new area to explore by going through the gate and perhaps include some new twists such as gardening or a restaurant or mini-zoo or something)
--this probably won't happen as attention is on the revolution, but I would love it

2) Mario Tennis DS
3) Pikmin DS
4) Katamari Damacy DS
5) Wario DS
6) Metroid 2d DS
7) Kingdom Hearts DS (not card based!!)

And, of course, brand new properties and ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's funny, all my "DS" announcements I look forward to are/would be GBA games:

Mother 3 (er, Earthbound 2, as it's the US and all)
Chrono Trigger GBA
an update on FFVI GBA (perhaps the most important port we'll get all year)

Other than that...they should announce a seperate 4 Swords DS game, wifi-enabled.

Since the DS Lite looks retarded with a GBA game in the slot, I've pretty much lost all hope for any add-on GBA cartridges. I think there was only one as well, just Jam With the Band had the extra song cartridge.

I'm still shocked that there is no version of Okami announced yet for the DS. That seems like a no-brainer for Capcom to me.

The only one that no one else has mentioned that I'd love to see (hell, they could make it a GBA game for all I care) is Streets of Rage 1 & 2. I can't help it, I love those games. If only Sega would do a compilation game that wasn't all Sonic.

I am not trying to go against u or anything, but how is the DS made for MMORPGs......I don't really think RPGs fit very well with the DS as of yet. Even though I want a new Pokemon game still means the DS has yet to make a push in the RPG department.

But I must admit an MMORPG would be really sweet.

Because every DS can get online. Obviously the graphics probably won't be at the PC level but a MMORPG could definitely be made. Of course, if it is a pay monthly, then I'm not touching it.

My two favorites I haven't heard anyone else mention (but haven't read the whole thread yet)... are Mario Party that's wifi enabled, and an expanded version of Mario Paint.

I'm with whoever said Diablo... and it has to have online, just like the PC version... how freakin sweet would that be...

What about some sort of SW Battlefront for DS... with online  Yes, I know it's on PSP, but I'm not buying a PSP, so...

Another WarioWare release... because I'm a WarioWare whore...

I'd love to see some game shows and classic games that are wifi enabled... Trivial Pursuit... Jeopardy... Clue... but then, I'm a nerd :D

More weird, quirky, mind blowingly original stuff... that's wifi enabled... and totally free :applause:
