King of Fighters DS

Looks like King of Fighters is coming to the DS. I would love to see this and more 2D fighters. The D-Pad works great for Street Fighter II Turbo Revival. Wi-Fi would be sweet too.

My guess is that it will be a direct sequal to the GBA games... I would love to see wifi and if this were to sell well, that other fighters would be ported over from other companies... maybe MKII? :)

Shocking news. Was expecting PSP to pretty much get all the fighters. Especially since this is SNK, whom tend to ALWAYS show more love towards Sony(with them only really slightly supporting Nintendo during the NES days since there was no other choice). Could this be a sign of things to come? *crosses fingers for Neo-Geo on VC*

SNK has supported Sony because Sony has had a firm Japanese lead.

Same went for Enix, that's why after the SNES era they dropped Nintendo support pretty much completely.

DS is winning in every territory, so the developers know which is a safer bet.

i think it just hit a year since Max Impact for PSP was announced... i'm guessing it is dead, but then again Metal Slug 3d was announced and never heard from for over a year, and now we get news that it's almost done.

also, I think they're doing it on the DS since they already have the sprites resized from the GBA games and since the DS and GBA hardware are very similar, it's an easy upgrade.

Where, when and how? I loved this game on the Neo Geo Pocket, I still occasionally play it today since I'm still trying to get all the cards that I can get with just one copy of the game.

I could of swore I saw an official news release or something was said from an SNK rep. It's just too obscure to even make a rumor about.
