I'll do you one better:

Region free English language Asian version for $43 shipped. Although, I hear the game's shortish, so I'll probably rent it myself.

This game is a blast to play. Recommend it. Have not played it too long, so not sure if it is short or not.

I didn't like the other Tomb Raider games but I'm buying this one when it hits $20-25. It's a very good game but I don't think it's worth crossing the $40 mark for.

Just to give people an idea on the length of the game: I beat this game on my first time through on the "Hard Difficulty" with a 92% completion rating in about 7.5 hours. In general, I'm usually on the slower end of the spectrum for completing games, so it would not surprise me if someone beat this in less than 6 hours on their first time through.

There is some replay value if you want to do the time trials and find the rest of the treasures and it's a fun game, but it's definitely on the short side.

Thanks shipwreck...I'll just rent it. I usually don't play on HARD anyways...so 6 hours MIGHT be realistic.

I rented the 260 version and was blown away by its presentation and graphics. If you're a TOMB RAIDER fan I think it's worthy of a purchase -- but not a full-price one. The game is most definitely on the short side and is really only replayable if you're a hard-core fan and like doing the time trials and such.

That's why I agree with Shipwreck -- a rental should suffice, and maybe a purchase once it's discounted down in the future (like the $20 price point). No doubt it looks amazing though...especially the water!

Play on hard. You get 175 Achievment points for beating the game on hard. I played it on easy and had to play it again on hard just to get my points.

EDIT:

I just checked after my HARD difficulty play through to get my 175 Achievment points it only took me 2Hrs 37mins and 45 secs to beat the game with an 80% completion percent. Not too shabby.

either way you have to play both difficulities. The acheivment for the hard difficulty setting is only for hard. Theres also an acheivment for beating the game on easy or normal only.
