Im New Here & Need Help from nice people like you

hey, i just got a new Xbox system and tried to make a new Live account, and it gives me this damn error that says something like ""Unable to continue due to technical difficulties""

i have the right modem i know, cause i used to play XBL with it on my old Xbox...
im not great w/ computers and shit
cause 1.) im only 14

it says "cables connected"
and all the stuff about IP and shat is good

but im getting frustrated:bomb: , help would be greatly appreciated.

How is your network set up? Are you connected directly to a cable/DSL modem, or are you going through a router?

If you are using a router, the first thing to try is directly connecting to the cable/DSL modem. If that works, then you may need to change some router settings.

Actually, this is a pretty common occurance with 360s. If your setup worked for Xbox, just keep trying to register. It took me like 6 times before everything finally went through. No problems connecting since then.

all i had to do was wait.
weird....
it wasnt working, then i went to track practice, came back... and it actually worked!
