More Chibi-like gaming goodness? The producer who worked in Chibi-Robo left Skip and has announced a new project for the DS: LOL DS.

Nishi worked on another title called LOL (which stands for Lack Of Love) back on the Dreamcast. The game was released only in Japan where you had to control a crustacean-like creature. Nishi points out on his blog that in this new DS game LOL also stands for laughing out loud, and that he wants to create a party game for 4-8 people on the DS.

Chibi-Robo was great, so I say this is good news. Plus, with the popularity of "Deadliest Catch," interest in crustaceans is way, way up. ;)

I have yet to play chibi since I don't own a GC, but love everything that I know about it. So news about this is great.

and this game is supposed to be a port or sequel to the Dreamcast LOL? what was that game about? Sounds like a crustacean dating sim from the information provided. and 4-8 players means it'll be a party game crustacean dating sim? how does that work?

sounds very interesting...

hopefully the 4-8 players can be done through WiFi

weird = gold, in my book ^_^

it's already been stated as not a sequal to the dreamcast game... (i own the dreamcast game and it's uniquely confusing... plays like a crazy abes odessy).

Too bad it's not the sequal to LOL, that game was crazy. I hope this new game is good....seems like a cool producer.
