Couple of things on clearance at the Target nearest me (Brandywine, DE) I don't think have been posted:

Mario Power Tennis GBA - $20.98
LCD screen for PS2 (can't remember the make) - $49.99

Nothing too great, Mario Power Tennis might be worth it if it drops again.

They also had a budget selection of GBA and DS games. DS games were $14.99, not many titles and all kiddies games like Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.

I also saw something truly disturbing: The had Greatest Hits copies of "50 Cent: Bulletproof"! How in the blue hell is that a GH?!?!
Damn that is disturbing, the fact that crap games sell like that while other gems never get much respect. A lot of kids these days will buy anything with 50's name on it though.
Yup, for some reason it is "cool" to support the wealth gain of a murderer.

Saw this same thing in Port Richey, FL. Didn't see Destroy All Humans and Megaman Collection though.

Most of them were $20.98, Yoshi was $14.98, Kingdom Hearts was $13.98.

I also saw Capcom Fighting Evolution PS2, Dynasty Warriors GBA, and some assorted Xbox Platinum hits, all on clearance at their first stage of markdowns (around 30% off).

Just went by my local Super Target to check out some DVDs and happened upon a few new clearance games.

WarioWare Twisted: $14.98
Jade Empire (both standard and limited edition): $9.98

There were a few others that were mentioned a few posts before mine such as a Lizzie McGuire game and Dynasty Warriors (both GBA). I'm not sure on the prices for those though. I ended up picking up a LE copy of Jade Empire for the excellent price of $9.98.

I think it's a pretty decent price. The game's a little short, but the motion sensor makes for a lot of unique microgames. If you liked any of the Wario Ware games, it's worth it. Heck, if you haven't played any of the Wario Ware games before, it might be worth a blind buy.

I personally think it's the best of the WarioWares -- more polished and longer than the DS version. The twist control is great. I saw it yesterday for 20.98, so 13.98 is pretty good. Your call if you want to wait for it to drop, but I wouldn't want to miss out on it.

That would take too much effort, though...the games and prices vary on a store by store basis, so any list we'd have would be incomplete and spotty at best.

I went to the Fort Union Target today. All their clearance games were messily stacked on top of other stuff they were selling. The two most interesting things I saw were X-BOX Jade Empire for 9.98 and GBA Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town for 9.98. They had a ton of DS Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits for 9.98 as well.

Also had Greatest Hits version of Blitz: The League for PS2. Once again Target gets their GH/PH/PC versions before any other store.

Also saw stacks of Dr. Mario & Puzzle League for GBA for $14.98. They had so many it will hopefully make it to $4.98.

Thanks for the updates. Good to know prices are dropping... I might wait a little longer on DKC 2 and Mega Man before i pick it up though. Also, just thought I'd say I'd highly reccomend Wario Ware Twisted and Zelda Minish Cap.

Lawrence, KS Target didn't have much except some PC games I didn't look too closely at. They had about 5 copies of Ridge Racer for the DS but I'm just not that excited about it. Disappointed to not see KH: Chain of Memories or Minish Cap :(

EDIT: Wait, did see Tales of Phantasia for, I think, $15. It was over on the GH endcap where they mix stuff in, not one of the clearance endcaps. There were also copies of Mega Man Anniversary Collection for Gamecube and a couple of others on that shelf. Nothing really exciting as I already have ToP and MMAC but decent stuff if you don't already have them.

Got Mario Tennis Power Tour (GBA) for $7.48, King of Fighters MI for $7.48,
and Backyard Wrestling 2 (for trade fodder) for $2.48.

That is the first game I've seen at Target for under $4.98 in a LONG time. I think because the regular price was only $9.99 on that (so it was still at 75% and not beyond and out of the system).

Oh - and to answer the post above, I checked MMAC for GC - still $9.98. I'd pick it up at $4.98.

Yes, Halo 2 LE is a steal for $20, especially if you have Xbox Live. It's the reason to play Xbox Live pretty much.

I see a lot of the other games at $19.99, such as Paper Mario and 4-Swords which I would really like to pick up....is there a chance that they will scan cheaper than the listed price?

You can get a replacement drive for varying amounts of money. Or you can sell it, a lot of people will buy an Xbox with a broken DVD drive (myself being one of them).

I have three to four Targets that are within driving distance and they each reduce games and other store merchandise differently. This is true across the country, if a game is on clearance at one store, it most likely will be on clearance at another. Just not necessarily for the same price.


I picked up Crime Stories for the PC for 9.98 yesterday. I'm not opening yet, as I hope it goes down cheaper, and then I can have the difference refunded.

That's because clearance items can be at different price levels at Target. All Target stores should have the same games on clearance but the prices can be different at each store (until all stores get the item to 75% off if any copies are left that that store)

Those are universal price drops. Meteos, Advance Wars, Kirby, Metroid Prime Pinball, True Swing Golf -- all are now $20 everywhere that has bothered to update their prices. Which reminds me, I need to pick up Kirby at some point...

I have made friends with a guy at my local Target and we talked for a good
half hour about the Wii and PS3 and he said he'd be waiting in line just like me!

He also revealed to me that the Target "Price Team" goes through and changes prices (locally) on Friday if they are ahead of schedule. If not, they try to get them changed on Monday.

They had a LOT of games on clearance, our Target is remodeling so they are clearing out a lot of stuff. They must have made another price drop on Friday because all of the games that were on the endcap earlier in the week were gone. Probably about 50 games including PSP NFL Street, XBOX Incredibles, Juiced and a few others.

I went again yesterday and they had moved about 100 more games to the endcap but they were not on clearance....yet. There was a wide variety of games including GBA Final Fantasy IV, DS Advance Wars, Dead or Alive 2-pack, Eye Toy Camera, and a whole lot more. Not clearanced but if you have a similar situation at your Target you might want to keep an eye on it.

Sorry for the long message, I'm really excited about this potential clearance.

Here is the strange thing. I was looking at every Target in the area last week trying to find it. The weird part is this Target did not any copies last week. When I didn't see with thier clearance games on the endcap I checked the case as another Target still had it there (but at full price). I know most stores don't transfer around clerance product so I find it rather strange these just appeared.

Just be a little careful with these cards.. they can go wonky, i have one and although it's only happened once, i did lose all my data on it when somehow a file got corrupted (i lost 38MB of save games!). Also some games won't save if you use this one (at least for me anyway).. games that don't work are RE4, Shark Tale, Kingdom Hearts 2, Dragon Quest 8, Champions of Norrath and Ghosthunter (for now).

Target in Branson, Missouri had a goldmine of cheap xbox games.

2 copies of Spiderman 2
20 copies of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
30 copies of Mech Warrior

All of these games were priced at $2.48. I do not have an Xbox, I am not a (w)hor(e)der, I have no desire to sell games on ebay. So, I left them all.

I also saw 2 copies of Mega Man Anniversary Collection, I picked up one for my friend. They were $5 and for the GC.

Other games I noticed:

Fantastic Four - GC - $5
Madden 06 - GBA - $15
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - PS2 - $5

There was another ps2 game that I can't recall. There were also at least 5 copies of each title.

Finally, there were 2 copies of Tales of Phantasia (GBA). One was marked at $7.48, the other was marked at $4.98. I thought that was odd, so I scanned it and it rang up $7.48. I had no desire to go up and argue the price, so I left it. Maybe someone else could get the marked price though, if they really wanted to.

If you point out to the cashier that the price should be $4.98, even though it rings up at $7.48 they'll override the price for you. I've never received any hassles when doing this so far. :)

If I'm not mistaken, the original price for this is $19.99, so you already got the 75% off clearance price. That's usually the maximum discount before it goes out of their system.

If the last number in the clearence price is a 8 then it can drop again (to $2.54), but unfortunately it won't drop unless they can get there hands on it to scan it come markdown day, so if you have it hidden somewhere waiting for it to drop, it will just go out of the system. I don't think that's true, since I hid it when it was scanning $9.98 ,There were no other copies anywhere. It's up for trade as well if anyone is interested.8-) I'm looking for Minish Cap.

They usually drop in 2-3 week intervals. They can drop to 50% in 2 weeks (depending on what day they put out the clearence games) and to 75% in about 2 or 3 weeks. It's not every week, cause i'm usually in there at least once a week and i've noticed it can takes 2-3 weeks per price drop. I just got WarioWare Twisted for $7.48 and that had been on a clearence shelf for $14.98 for about 3 weeks. Monday's is when the games get dropped.

one aisle is like a Nintendo aisle. you've got DS and GBA on one end. then the accessories at the middle, then comes the GC section. then finally a display board of people playing Wii. should have taken a picture, probably other locations would have it soon.

I have been to my target many times. But they have all the ps2,xbox, and GC games behind the glass with the always same prices. I never see a "Sale" or "Clearence" tag on them. So how do you guys get these deals from target. How do you find out the clearence price of those games.

I have been to target many times but never bought a single game because of their price. I never see anything onsale or clearence either :cry:
