118th & Glison is currently out, Fairview has none and Mall 205 had 1 as of 5:00 p.m. Monday night for those interested.

Personally, I'm hoping for the next Fred Meyer 50% off clearance seeing as how that provided me my best haul last year in the Portland area.

yeah, this is the current series BSG. the die-cast version that i got was the bigger one that originally retailed for $19.99. the small ones like a matchbox toy was around $4.99, but they never got clearanced.

check the endcaps near the video games, since the clearance games and toys are usually clearanced on one area. they still got those Star Wars die-cast figures and vehicles.

I saw Hitman, Blood money clearanced at the Richmond, VA Target (off of Broad street) for 20.98. Waiting for it to go below 10.

I just picked up an iPod Radio remote (wired remote and radio for newer iPods). It was mixed in with the games. Last time I was there, it was only $5 off ($44.95 or so instead of $49.95) but this time it was 50% off. I believe the Test Drive that Target has on clearance is the XBox version (that came out in 2002). That store obviously mispriced the 360 version of Unlimited.

Yea, what's weird is I went to three different Target's tonight and I didn't see Test Drive Unlimited at all for the Xbox 360. Not in the case, not on clearance, nothing!

Every store had TONS of Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World... I might let that one drop to $10 or hell, even $5 before I get it. Kind of weird they clearanced it out so early, it's only been out two months or so, but whatever ;)

I don't know if they will drop, but I'm still going to be checking on Monday. My target still has them in the case marked at $34.

If the price ends in an '8' then it's at 75% off. They usually don't mark games to 90% off, but you can wait and maybe get lucky.

Also, check the price at a scanner. My store had them marked at about $25 but a check on the scanner revealed it's really $12.48. Print out and bring in the UPC at UPC Database (http://www.upcdatabase.com/item.asp?upc=0045496963422)

Must be a weird thing with that game then....a month or two ago I picked one up at Target for $12.48, same thing, had the "sold as is" clearance sticker on it, and I believe when they rang it up it scanned as some sort of DS product. I've never seen that game in any other Target, clearance or otherwise.

Girl scanned a different barcode on the second one and it came up $50. Showed her they were the same and she adjusted.

Was funny as there were cards for $15 in clearance, and cards for $50 on the shelf. Just mattered what barcode you hit when scanning.

I don't know if this deserves its own thread but I though I would mention this here. Someone at Slickdeals mentioned that the Gamecube is onsale this week for $88. Since most places don't have in stock anymore you can get a raincheck for and a coupon for 12% off any game system will print out. There is speculation that you can use it on the Wii but it has not been confirmed yet.

Depending on the store and the item, things don't always hit the 75% off mark. That's why I don't do what a lot of people here do and try to really, really wait on stuff that I know I'd be happy paying a slightly higher price for. If it gets close, I buy it. With Target clearance, you always run the risk of it being zeroed out before it hits the price you want, even though people here report it as being cheaper at their local Target store.

Quake 4 at my local Target had a red sticker on it for $20.48. I double checked with a price scanner and that was the right price. Do you guys think it will drop any further at this particular Target like it did for others? $20 is not a good price at all since Best Buy has this game for $19.99.

I saw the Tony Hawk Limited Editio with skateboard at 2 different clearance prices today: $64.88 and $70-something. Saw the Zelda collector sword thingee for $34 something. But here's the big news:

One store had the $200 autographed guitars for $99.88, which I thought was a decent deal, but then I went to a second store and they were marked down to $50.04. Unfortunately they were out of the Weezer one I wanted, but I grabbed All-American Rejects and Fall Out Boy just because it was such a good price for an autographed guitar. Everywhere is out of the KISS guitar...I think that's the only 4 they made. I'm going to look around some more for the Weezer guitar but I haven't seen it anywhere...I bought one at $200 the week it was released but left it in my car and forgot to shut my garage door, so it got stolen. Yah, I'm a dumbass and thieves suck.

No amp. Hmm...weird. They were never $150 at any of the Targets around here. First drop was $99 and second drop was today...although many stores still have them for $99. Target clearance prices are too YMMV these days. Of course, most of the Targets around here sold out of most of the guitars at full price, especially Kiss and Weezer.

They are autographed, limited edition, only available at Target, and come with a certificate of authenticty. The guitars are Lyon by Washburn. Oh, and they aren't autographed by the whole band, just one member.

I had my dad check his local Target in my home town and they are still $100 there. He found a Brian Bell/Weezer guitar...so I told him to check back in a couple days for me and buy it when it drops to $50 if it doesn't sell first. I have my brothers looking for them in their towns too...so hopefully I'll find one, maybe two. I wouldn't mind having one to display and one to play at that price. They're pretty decent guitars...most reviews give them an 8.5 out of 10.

I don't think there are all that many people that play the game online. I know I played not to long after launch and there were not a huge amount of servers then.

Raven did make quite a bit of extra content for the game though and the single player is pretty sweet (still need to go back and finish it, but I got like 5 hours in and enjoyed it).

They don't have clearance bins per se but they usually use an endcap or two in each department to gather clearance items. They have a red clearance sign above them.

Ebay. Do a search for "Target autographed guitar" and you will see a couple of the KISS ones.

Mine were in the clearance endcap with the video games and electronics. When they were on display at every Target I went to, they had them on a special holiday endcap. There's a pretty good chance they sold out at your Target, especially if they were clearanced out. Still, ask an employee in electonics, they should know if there are still any in stock or not. They are in huge cardboard boxes and hard to miss as they take up an entire shelf.

This is exactly what I was talking about earlier in the thread when I said that sometimes things don't follow normal clearance "procedure." I've seen it happen with games, toys, lots of stuff. It just depends, but if something hits a price you're comfortable with, it's almost always better to jump on it then than to wait for the next percentage off.

I started working at a target, electronics too. Pretty fun watching the clearanced items droping, and my target moving the clearence endcaps around and scaring me. Did have a bunch of Zelda replicas, from about 30 to ~2 last I saw. I was planning on grabing one if the price dropped further, 50% for sure. Same for the THP8 w/ skateboard, ~63 now, there were plenty left, maybe 50 of ps2 and xbox, dont want that since I wouldnt really use it. What really bites me is the exclusive guitars, really interested in that. But never seen any at my target.

As for what Ive seen on clearance, Starwars on pc (galaxy?) for 4.9_ after 75%, was going to grab it but it ended up missing. (Wouldnt have really used it, monthly fees are iffy)

YMMV. You may get lucky, you may not.

If you don't, there are still a couple of things you can try.

1) Return it to a different Target. The clearance price may be higher there.

2) Wait for it to drop out of the system, then return it.

The Dallas price adjusters just haven't priced them down yet. I had to do this at mine, as they were still marked $99 but coming up item not found in the computer. Using the wand they came up $99 last price. They said "sorry that's the lowest price". But after some convincing, they called the girl who does the price adjustments to see if she just hadn't gotten around to it. She evidently said that they should be 75% off cause they came back and gave it to me for $48. :)

Today I found 3 Christmas CDs. The last Xmas markdown was 90%, even as of yesterday in local Targets. The CDs didn't scan and came up as "Item Information Not Found".

I took them to a register. The cashier understood immediately. "Oh, they're Christmas. They're on sale." He got another guy to go to the returns desk to get a price.

He comes back a few minutes later telling me they are....full price.

I told him that no one is going to buy them at those prices. He told me they'll send them back and that CDs, even Christmas ones, never go down in price. That last bit is patently not true.

Thanks for the info, I will probably go back and try that here soon, the Target closest to me has no guitars at all, really they have no any musical intruments at all. They had at least 10 of the Tony Hawk packages though and they too had zero Zeldas. Both stores had a few of the really marked down Quake 4's.

Oh and there was a clearance Nancy Drew two pack for $15, I almost got it for my girl. She stays up late playing that and I have to "save" her cause she gets so scared. It's quite funny really, but she loves those type of games. I'm probably going to get her a pink DS lite and Hotel Dusk for Valentines! :lol:

Usually, this is true and is something I count on. The Targets here (Orange County, CA) have done something different for this year's Christmas and toy clearance.

Usually, all the stores are on their own cycles and the Xmas toy clearance can stretch all through January. Not this year. They all went from 30% to 50% to 75% on the same days, and the entire clearance cycle was shortened. There's only dregs left now.

I've never seen all the stores move together like this, but they did. I guess they decided to move it all quickly this year.

Also, weirdly, certain toys stayed at 30% off, until everything went to 75% off and then they joined them. I can only thank Target, since I got several things at 75% off that probably would have moved at 50, but were never discounted at that rate.

This is only true for Christmas items and toys. The guitars and Zelda sets are on the typical Target cycle. But Optimus Prime was a toy.

Might be worth mentioning that Targets are currently clearancing out their old stock of candles/incence to make room for new styles. Both of my Targets had endcaps of candles at varying percentages off. Picked up some 24 packs of incense for 22 cents a piece and also a 40 pack of incense for 74 cents.

Yeah, my Target had 4 of them marked the same. When those get another discount I'll be all over that. If you haven't heard one in person they are awesome.

The Target here in Harrionburg, VA, has at least 25 copies of this on clearence fro $13.98 or something. Star Fox Assault, Pikmin 2, Kirby Air Ride, and Harvest Moon are the same price, as are some other GC/PS2/Xbox games. I'm waiting to see if they drop even more though.

Oh, for whatever reason this Target has copies of Advance Wars Dual Strike and Kirby Canvas Curse for $20, and not on clearence, either. I have no idea where they came from, because they haven't always been there and I thought both games were out of production.

Also, there was one copy of Wario Ware Touched behind the case, but it was behind the sticker for Eragon which said $29.99. It depends on the store and item. I know for a fact that sometimes things skip the 75% off stage and go right to salvage...I had a friend on the pricing team for over two years that helped me watch the system.

I got a basketball goal on clearance for 60 bucks yesterday (the 54" one that is usually 229.99) and a set of table tennis stuff (paddles, balls, new net) for 7.48. Also foosball tables were on clearance for 84.99 (they had plenty at the green road and super target so when they hit 75 there is a good chance you can get one if looking for a table).

Lots of sports stuff seems to be on clearance at Targets in my area, video games not so much.

May go out guitar shopping later to see if I can get lucky, but I doubt it.

From what I hear, they are basically a $100 electric guitar. So, if you can get one for $50 to learn on, it's a pretty good deal. I got the Amer Rejects one just for that reason. I could care less about the signature or box etc, but I thought the AR one was cleaner/nicer than the Fallout one. I also hated the gold plating on the fallout one. My preference would have been:

1. Kiss (Impossible to find at Targets)
2. Weezer (Very nice looking guitar)
3. American Rejects (Clean/nice looking)
4. Fallout Boy (Ugly @ss guitar)

It's a Lyon guitar by Washburn. You can look up reviews and prices online. $50 for a new one is pretty good. If you don't want the autograph on there, it's written in marker on the guitar and would probably come off fairly easily with a Magic Eraser. The guitar itself just looks like a normal guitar...it doesn't have the band's name on it or anything. The guitar strap does, but you can always use a different guitar strap.

and is everything really supposed to drop to 75% off before getting shipped away, and if so how long does it take? there are a bajillion copies of Mario Golf for GC at my target, so if that's the case then I'll most certainly find some for $5 in the future, which would be a definite buy, but $14 is a little steep for me. Also Starfox Assault, Pikmin 2, Harvest Moon, Baten Kaitos, Resident Evil 4...I would buy all of these for $5.
