Gamefaqs has been running polls over the last couple of names to see how many people are interested in certain consoles. Wii isn't actually doing so bad in the amount that want it:people voting ratio. I expect it to change quite a bit after some games are revealed. Hoping that interest goes up quite a bit ;)

For comparison purposes, the PS3 and Xbox360:

My bad. Fixed.
Not quite - actual link is still to the Wii... and holy shit, 50% say they don't want a 360, compared to 19% for the PS3 and 16% for the Wii?

Whenever I look up a faq at gamefaqs I typically check out the polls, gamefaqs's user base typically skews pretty pro-Nintendo.

Gamefaqs is very Nintendo & Sony heavy. I guess if you are looking for what gamers that are either young or needing help on RPG's think about games, then that is an excellent resource.

Agreed shipwreck. I still use gamefaqs quite a bit even though the trolls come out of the woodwork there, it still has some decent topics and you can get fairly quick responses.

I think this new poll from Joystiq really sums up the anwer very well (I doubt the Nintendo fanboy bias could be THIS serious)

Yes, the wii bar is very long.
But, it's expected. MS has nothing. And what else is there to see about the PS3, except how huge of a dent it will leave in your wallet?

You've just opened the door for a patented Strell "Wang" joke.

MS may have the Origami to talk about and Sony has more vague details and non-playable demos. WOO!

Surely Sony has playable demos?

Rumor has it they will have very few SKUs. Personally, I think they'll have many to go around. Not having a lot of SKUs would pretty much be an invitation for Nintendo and Microsoft to trample all over them.

Rumors have been rampant on Joystiq and Kotaku (if you believe them) of what Foolman said. There has been no news to the contrary, so leave it to your imagination to draw a logical conclusion.

So anyone who dosen't like the Xbox is a young child who typically enjoys RPG's?
Because wow, I pretty much hate the Xbox, and my interest in the 360 is dying everytime they port another of its games to the PC and elsewhere, so I guess I'm just a young child who needs help on RPG's :( I know, you'll reply "I just meant GameFAQ's people!" but your opinion sure was slanted to make it sound like "if these gamers don't like the xbox, they sure are dumb".
GameFAQ's is a shitty site if you just visit the main forums, but it is some of the best sources of information on many other games, espically on the forums of lesser known / cared about RPG's.

You read entirely too much into what I wrote. I was just explaining why GameFaqs polls turn out the way they do. My opinion was not slanted in any way. I spent a lot of time over at GameFaqs before coming over here, so I've got a pretty good idea of what goes on over there. The Xbox crowd isn't very prevalent over on those boards and they certainly don't participate in the polls with as much fervor as the Nintendo faithful.
On a side note, so you're an RPG gamer, huh?! You're really disproving my theory about the GFaqs demographic. I'm not saying you or any of the people that visit there are dumb, it's just that logic would have it that a site based upon walkthroughs of games would generally attract more younger gamers that would need help and people playing RPG's. (Please don't mesh those two together like you did in your above post).

GameFAQs also attracts people like me who don't want the experiece and money spent on a new game to be totally wasted because of one asinine puzzle. Quick look, find the solution, and move on.
Thus GameFAQs attracts RPG players, younger players, and OLDER PATHETIC players.

Who is "other?" Are 1% of the responders waiting for some hot N-Gage news or something?

I hear the N-gage is making a comeback, read it over at Gamfaqs.

I'm 24, and the Wii (stupid name) is the only system I'm really interested in. The key term being "interested," it took me a looong time to jump into buying a DS, but I'm loving the hell out of it. Many games wouldn't work (be as enjoyable) on another system. Hell, I use my DS more frequently than my Xbox, so I'm becoming much more of a Nintendo fan.
The idea of having a new ways to play, and new types of games, in an increasingly stagnant market should get any gamer excited. As great as new ideas are, it all comes together, or falls apart, in the follow-through.
