What she doesn't know won't hurt her. (Unless the gift obviously looks cheap - then you're screwed).

i bought flowers for my g/f at proflowers.com when they had the free vase promotion going on. i'm not sure if they still have it anymore though :(

one way to save a little money (if you're gonna have them delivered) is deliver it to your house on friday and keep the flowers in the fridge. it'll take like 10 bucks off your order b/c saturday delivery is quite expensive (around $20). hope this helps :D

I feel ya 100% on saving money, whats really messed up is that one day after Valentines day you can find VD stuff for like 80% off, grrrrr. Plus how many guys in here actually get gifts back from there giril? I don't but the girls sure get hooked up, lol. :(

I guess I'll go the 20% off route, looks like the only way to save some loot.

Cheap Ass Flowers:
Find a patch of dirt and have a handfull of seeds....

Seriously though, just make sure you buy her stuff a few days in advance, and if you can, right on the spot and not special ordered.

Or, take it up the rear this year, and stockpile the day after and she'll get %80 more!..unless its flowers....they die

Girls love it when you make them something. But if intent on getting her something, Things Remembered is always a good choice.

yea i know....i always end up wasting soo much money....and if i ever have to buy her something electronic i tend to think about myself more...like i cant buy her a cheap tv..i would have to get her something i would get for myself.......

and i know those balloons are way too much but i would get it because i know she would like them...and i have no car at the moment so i dont want to go through a hassle

You have a chick that lets you do dirty sinful things to her naughty bits and to repay her you're looking for a way to selfishly save a few bucks?

That aint right.

I always get my lady the best from:

www.bitchdontneednothin.com

or

www.getnogiftandlikeit.com [-(

Truthfully though, my wife and I do not get each other anything on Valentine's Day, we believe it to be a horrible "holiday". I have yet to get her anything for that day, and I certainly will not start this year...

I hear ya JD, I actually have yet to get her something for Valentines. We go out to eat, but no where special...just go out and eat at a place of my choosing. Besides, she doesn't like jewelry...her idea of a great Valentine Gift...believe it or not, Pokemon Cards. She has an unhealthy habit for a 21 y/o but cheaper than a bracelet or red roses

Wow...you've found yourself a female geek. Lucky. :D

As far as Valentine's Day goes...the only thing I can suggest would be either:

1.) Making something. For Christmas presents, I made fudge. Cheap, quick, easy, and the girls LOVED the stuff.

2.) If you're determined to buy something, check local stores. For all you know, your friendly neighborhood florist might have a great deal on roses. If need be, ask your friends and see what they've got to suggest.

I'm lucky this year. Me and my girl both have to work on the 14th (At a resturant, gets busy), so we were dorks and reschedualed it for the 17th, when we're both free all day. Ill be able to pick all sorts of junk on sale.

Now THATS cheap.

Well Joey, the thing is I actually found someone that doesn't care about anything expensive. I mean I told her I'm not getting her anything but I probably will. I'll buy her a box of chocolate, give the chocolate away, and inside the box put some pokemon booster packs. She'll love it, and it'll be cheap...I'm lucky :D

Unless its some of the lingerie \:D/ , don't get anything on that list. I won't get my lady anything (as stated earlier), but if I were, I'd go with something like D4rkwolfe... Something that looks cliche but actually has some thought to it. For the love of God, please do not get any heart shaped jewelry, that crap is the worst.... no stuffed animals, no chocolates, no heart shaped ANYTHING. Get something that will be used, not something Hallmark or DeBeer's tells you is romantic and will just end up on a shelf, in a drawer, or on her thighs.....

D4rkewolfe Well you're lucky but so is she as long as you do something...anything for her...it's all that matters.Even the smallest of gestures are recognized.
