Someone at another board mentioned that Kojima speaks, in a recent Hidechan radio session about an upcoming Metal Gear Solid (not MG:AC!D) game coming out for the PSP.

Here's the session, I believe he speaks about it around 8:18

Loose translation here.

- Official MGS canon. Takes place in 1970 after MGS3, story is connected to MGS4.
- Big Boss is the main character, story is the formation of Foxhound.
- Action game, but Big Boss controls troops.
- Graphical quality to be on-par with PS2 MGS games.
- There will be more story and more alternative victory solutions in this game.
- No continue, when troops die they die for good. Focus on the element of death in the battlefield.
- Wi-Fi enabled battles.
- You can bet troops in battles, but if you surrender with the white flag before they die, you don't lose them.
I'm not holding these as 100% true as they were translated by someone I don't know, but here's hoping.

Sweet. Hope it's true.

anything that lets you play as Big Boss is a plus.

so..it says action game, but then it says you control troops. Maybe something like Full Spectrum Warrior?

Not really confirmed... that's the same thing the OP says but just from some website.

I'll wait until Konami, or IGN / Gamespot say its for real before I really start getting excited.

Also, when a player dies, they will be dead for good (no continue respawn). Kojima wants to focus on realism and the significance of death in the battlefield.

Does that mean when WE die, or when our AI teammates die? Wonder how this will work.
