OMG!!!!!!!!!! This is the greatest day ever in the history of gaming. This fucking Wii is incredible. The name doesn't even bother me anymore. I want to play Wii with all of my friends. This shit, if done right, and being Nintendo will be, is going to unbelievable. Those games... Metroid I'm salivating at the mouth right now.

Oops! I did it again.

Indeed, it's awesome. Look at those screens...that's what we should have seen instead of the low quality IGN streams. Looks awesome...this isn't some PS2 quality box that the haters have been trying to portray it as.

Wow. I'm speechless. I think they nailed it. It's going to take a mistake of massive proportions to make this not work.

Those "fake" Mario pictures from a few weeks back sure do look a lot like they are from the new Mario game.

I hope stores start taking Wii preorders soon. I'll be preordering Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and Red Steel.

Same here. I'll probably pre-order WiiSports and a couple of others too.

Tell me this, y'all: I've never really gone the whole console-preorder-at-launch thing. Even if you do the long wait outside of a GS/EB for a day or so to be there when they open, do you still need to be on the pre-order list to get your purchase? So like even if I'm guy #1 in there, if I'm not at the top of the pre-order list, am I not going to be served?

Also, for a place like Best Buy or Circuit City - they don't take preorders, correct? So that's pretty much if you're there, you got it, right? And in those cases, when do these lines usually begin? More than a full day before the opening? What if you've gotta take a dump?

So many questions, so few months for me to get answers!

Someone addressed that one. But to me Super Mario Galaxy was a total surprise (Mario 128 was only ever a rumor). What I'm wondering about is where is the online super deluxe kick ass Wii version of Super Smash Brothers? At one point, that was the ONLY game we knew was going to be a launch title. Now it has disappeared entirely?

After seeing that hammer screen shot, Wow would be a better name for the system. That or sweetness.

Mario 128 was only a codename of sorts... just as Mario for the N64 ended being called SM64, people started to refer to the next real Mario game (Sunshine was kinda lame) as Mario 128 because of the 128-bit GPU or something.

Honestly, I don't think the Wii is going to sell out, and I don't think people are going to be waiting in line for it like the 360 / PS3. Sure, the demand with the gamers is strong, but I think the general public won't latch onto it immediately, much like the DS, which only sold out closer to christmas.

If it's anything like Nintendo's other launches, there will be plenty to go around... hell, I remember when the Gamecube came out, I went back to the store (Best Buy) that launch night to pick it up and they still had a few left.

Did anyone notice that if you save your game in Mario Sunshine before doing any levels that the save file is called Mario 128?

It's not look like Mario 128.

"
MIYAMOTO: I'm sorry. {Laughs} Yeah, I got side-tracked with things like Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and some other titles, and they took some of my energy away from the project. We have been continually working on different projects, different experiments with the Mario 128 engine. The name Mario 128 came from Mario 64 [for the Nintendo 64 and now DS]. With that name, we wanted to say, "Hey, we're creating something brand-new." So what we do on the Revolution, whether or not that's going to be [called Mario 128]...it's going to be a new Mario.

I think it is the mario game listed on the site.
