Ok I got a question...
Today I was careless taking the disc out of the case (my Halo disc), and the holder thing is not pushed properly. Thus, I accidently bent the disc a little bit. Same with some GC game that are hard as hell to pop out, like the Resident Evil disc...I took them out as if the disc going to break into two pieces.
Does bending a disc damage the data on the disc side label? If bending the disc too much, does it do any damage to the disc at all? Like when you play to this part, suddenly the game freeze?

It shouldn't, unless the label gets damaged. if the label crackles or gets damaged, the disc is dead and it'll always skip in that spot.

Well the Halo disc is slightly bend. But those GC disc (some are hard), I thought it was going to break any minute.
Anyway, none of the game disc that were bent have crack on the middle yet. So it should play just fine like nothing happen right?

it may not spin right. if it doesn't make any more noise than usual when you put it in, then its fine.

But does bending a disc slightly causes the disc to be "bent" forever or what? I thought they are plastic that no matter how long bend them, they will go back to their original way.

some plastic does...but i think once a dvd is bent, it's that way for good...same with wookies.

The laser may not focus properly if it's the wrong distance from the read head or whatever. I may be wrong.

I always thought DVDs went back to their original shape.
That's what I think too. I mean if will bend forever if you bend it for like 20 hours long or something.
So a little bending does nothing damaging the disc right?

Bending shouldn't hurt the it unless it has been bent to the point of cracking the disc.

You should be fine. I have a ps1 disc that has a crack in it, starting at the middle hole and going about 1-1/4" thru the disc, and the games still plays with no problems. I lucked out on that one I know...
