There was no other info as far as I can tell. They still have a LOT to go over.

I don't know. They made it seem as if all of the online was going to be free. If I'm wrong, then someone please correct me.

it sounds like they are going to have a sony shop which will probably be free to access but to shop will require a prepaid card ala ms points or playstation points in this case. i would imagine online head to head play will be up to developers to provide unless sony is going to host/develop free of charge which i doubt since that kind of stuff costs money. i guess we'll find out later.

Yeah, the actual act of playing a game online should be free.

i am pretty sure it will be like xbox 360's silver and gold, essentially online will be free, but not for all the goodies...

Gamespot mentions that it'll be free, including online gameplay.

Sony plans to let game developers connect and run their own game servers on the network. Letting game companies charge subscription fees could help defray the cost of maintaining servers.

this is the part that confuses me. is sony going to allow users to access their network for free and buy shit with their prepaid points, but if you want to play a game you have to deal with the developers terms and conditions?

Well, it's the exact same system used with the PS2. No one really charges for the online, except MMOs.
