Okay, Ive really been thinking about decent in earbuds for my psp, but before I do I wanted to see what some of you think of the stock psp headphones...should I really upgrade to something in the 20 dollar range or not? And also, I hate the wiring setup on them, I kinda want the Y design. This is a dumb question, but the wiring on the psp headphones...are they set up to go behind the neck? And if so why are they designed like that when the psp is infront of you...

If you want to stick with earbuds go with Sennheiser. I have MX400s and they sound great. They have more bass that most cheap headphones and they should be around $15-30 depending on what model you want.
I was just using my earbuds to play Lumines, and it was bumping.

Yes they go behind the neck.

I just ordered these PSP earsubs from Amazon/TRU $10.23 shipped(wish I had caught them yesterday when shipping was free).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B6JQ94/qid=1147526186/sr=8-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-4875413-3349425?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=468642

I haven't tried them yet but there are a bunch of testimonials around the 'net from people who are blown away by them. They are amplified from the PSP's power. There is also a universal one that requires a aaa battery.

Probably should also be in the Amazon/TRU thread but I figured you're lookin' and theres 12 left atm.

Oh and you can't go wrong with Sennhiesers.

I just ordered a pair of these Headbanger subs and a pair of Sennheiser MX500s, for $20 or so shipped. I'll let you know how they sound and compare when they arrive.

I think most people want an earbud style so they can fit in a PSP case or something.

The HB Earsubs are pretty good, except they feed off of your battery to create strong bass. As a result, leaving them plugged in to the PSP while it is off will still drain the battery. I hate that.
