I don't know about anybody else, but I'd love to see Megaman 2 remade on PSP, and same goes with X4. I thought I read some place that they wanted to remake X-X6 and 1-8 on the PSP if there was a market for them, and considering they're awesome games I'm sure they had to sell decent enough to warrant atleast a second wave. Has there been any news or mention of more games? Hopefully if there is they can make more than one in a year, or atleast pack two games in one, since 8 years is a long time to see the whole Megaman series remade. I was really hoping for something at E3, but I don't recall reading anything. If anybody has some info to contribute that'd be great.

I think it's a safe bet that we'll see more of this series on the PSP.

For our PSP readers who are wondering about a sequel to Maverick Hunter X or Powered Up, don't hold your breath. When asked about future games in the series, Inafune says, "Yeah, if it was a perfect world I really wish we could make a couple sequels because those are very good games, but uh, truth be told, in Japan they really haven't sold as well as expected. So it's really hard to say." Not only that, Capcom seems to be heading away from remakes, ports, and compilations altogether.

Isn't North America a much bigger market than Japan? So if it sold well here and not Japan, it should still be a viable option to make the game and release stateside, correct?

Haha, so true Roufuss! Sucks big that there may not be sequels, it's a high quality game, and at least we can't be blamed for it selling poorly this time.
I don't get it, I always assumed there was a big enough Megaman fanbase to where it'll always have it's support. Perhaps not enough MM PSP owners? I see it the same with Castlevania on consoles. They are only decent, but I'm sure enough fans picked em up regardless. (I fall in this category.)

I died a little inside when I read they wouldn't be making more. Hopefully we'll see something at TGS again, and they'll give it another chance just like the original Megaman.

anything is possible. the article doesn't confirm that they won't, just that the chances aren't really high coming from their perspective.
well they are releasing new capcom classic collection on ps2, xbox, psp, and gba.
