Hello fellow cag's, I have been contemplating trading for a used PSP but have a question about dead pixels. I'm a psp noob so be kind. How do the dead pixels impact the viewing area when gaming or watching a umd? Should psp's with one or two dead pixels be avoided at all cost. Thank you for the info in advance!!

They are lot more noticeable while watching a movie as opposed to playing a game. My 1st PSP had one and it wasn't that big of a deal...but now having a system without is pretty sweet.

Mine I have has 2. They are not noticeable at all until you are on a plan black screen. Other than that its not bad.

My psp has 7 dead pixels. You can't really tell when you're playing but if you shove your head closely to the screent they become noticeable. not a big deal imo

Sweet, thank you very much for the info guys. This helps out tremendously and now I don'thave to worry about this issue when trading or purchasing one. You have all been really helpful, thank you. Now I just have to get a psp.

There are 3 different lcd flaws that can be generally experienced with an PSP, dust, dead pixel, stuck pixel. The stuck pixels can sometimes be flashed out by general use or dl a RGB vid.

i dont think i have any dead pixels on my new psp. is there an way to check it on a plain black screen? right now i dont have any movies or games to play so its hard to tell on the colored background

Either google for images on PSP forums or make your own. All you need are RED, GREEN, WHITE, BLACK, BLUE images. Place them onto your PSP and view them via PHOTOS and see how many dots show up.
