I just finished this a couple of minutes ago so it should work.

116.09 - 4.64 (Fatcash) = 111.45 shipped.. :hot:

No sales tax here in MA. If I were to buy this at EB, I would pay $130 + ~$6. 136. So I saved about $25.

Thats the good. The bad stuff would be... they charge you before they ship. I just checked my account online and it's already charged the $116. This doesn't matter much to me, but I know some people don't like it. Then there's shipping. I've read that people have had bad shipping experiences with Overstock.com. See the FW thread for more details. If I get it within 2 weeks and it's in proper condition, I'm happy.

it is real money, the catch is that you'll have to wait "X" number of days depending on the vender before you get the money back. fatwallet can issue you a check whenever you have more than $10 to cash out or can paypal you any amount. fatwallet is cool. i wish cheapassgamer would implement a feature like that.

Stick with Gamestop, as Overstock will save you money, but you'll get your DS lite 2 months later. $15-$20 bucks isnt worth it. Those 2 months are usually torture.

No, the 10% off is done through a coupon code... the 4% off you need to go through FW though. You can get both. You can also get free shipping.

Shipping = coupon code
10% = coupon code
4% = FW page redirection

I just received SMB DS from Circuit City that I bought online and what do you know, theres a $15 off $100 coupon in there! Dated 5/1/06 to 7/31/06 but unfortunatly the fine print says not valid on game consoles. Makes me wonder if the coupon you are referring to is valid on consoles either.

No, exclusive usually means exclusive. There will almost certainly be more colors, but there's no guarantee as to what they will be. Titanium is worldwide, Electric Blue is NA and SA only. YMMV but I tested the $15 off $100 at CC with a DS and it worked just fine despite saying it excludes gaming consoles... so as long as the person who rings you up doesn't read too closely it should work fine.

Canceling an order is easy as pie because all of the leverage is with the buyer.

If Overstock pulls a fast one and doesn't honor the 10% off, all one has to do is dispute the charge on the credit card. If your record is good, the cc company will back you all the way and you'll come out on top.

I have a Novus card and on the few occaisons I've had to dispute a charge, they've always backed me to the end and I've come out on top. That said, I've got a great record and only dispute when all other options fail so...

I'm not sure about Paypal's support of buyers...

Yes. Your FatCash isn't available for something like 90 days after you're charged, so you don't return it and still get the cash.

FYI, someone on FatWallet mentioned their DS Lite order has been cancelled by Overstock. No word on when it was placed, but this probably isn't a good sign, though my order was placed on May 11 and it still shows up as "In Process".

Well - for those of us that waited to 'pull the trigger' on this @ overstock - it seems too late and is now labeled "OUT OF STOCK". To recap - for those of us who didn't want to go with Overstock - the CC method by way of 15 $ off coupon seems to be the next best bet. If anyone comes up with equally nice finds - pls. keep us posted. Assuming that the coupon will work even on the LITE (as it does apparently on the reg. unit despite saying not valid on consoles) [ thx. to rooter on this ].

Ya, I understood the risk involved after reading the pages and pages in this thread and the Amazon thread before ordering. Overstock though has shipped everything else I've ordered at the cheapest price and quickly to where I live though. But this is all 3 strikes for them if they cancel it (especially after charging me immediately)

For those who pre-ordered the PSP, some shipped on launch day from Overstock.com, but there was also shipping problems and cancellations with PSP pre-orders too. You'll just have to keep your fingers crossed.

I chatted with OS customer support. I know they got a bad rap but the guy at least appeared to be helpful. He said my order should ship within 4 days of their release date (June 12th). For the total time to get here he said I should get it within 2-15 business days AFTER June 12 which would be anywhere from June 14 to July 3rd (said it def should come by then). I might be hoping for too much but it would be awesome if it came in by next Friday. Know it's a longshot but I can still hope.

Edit: The DS lite is also back on stock on the OS website so feel free to use any current codes to get a discount. Dunno y this was moved to the deal graveyard so quickly...

Edit 2: And it's gone again. :( How many DS lites is Overstock planning to get? Seems like they got a lot of preorders to fullfill next week now.

I got a ship notice today, but they've not added the tracking information. So it's possible I guess that it is already on the way...but who knows at this point. Customer service said it may have shipped and they didn't put the tracking info in yet...hmmm.

Mine has shipped by usps. But does this scare anyone else, I have ordered from overstock before. They're not big on packing materials. They rather pay for a box that fits what their shipping. Rather then stick bubble wrap in a box.

After almost no shipment status update from the USPS tracking site, today my DS arrived! The Nintendo packaging was in mint condition, despite almost no packing material by Overstock.com. In fact, the container it came in can barely be called "a box." But it did the job fine, and that's what counts.

I can't believe I'm playing my lovely dead-pixel-free DS less than a week after launch! It is almost enough to make me not regret waiting for the Brain Age deals ...almost :-({|=
