Hori fighting stick 2, only good for fighting games?

I want to get this Hori Fighting Stick 2, but am still confused as to whether or not it would play games like Onimusha 4. The controller only has one joystick.

Anyone have a Hori Fighting stick 2? Can it play games like Onimusha 4 ok? What about Metal Gear Solid? I really dislike playing games where I have to use my thumb to attack a lot. Onimusha, for example, has a lot of thumb mashing. :(

I am sure the stick is wired to the dpad.

in other words, u cant use the stick to control the left analog nub,

so yeah, MGS is a no go, I donno about onimusha tho

I doubt any stick out there is analog, much less have a right analog stick. I used to play Armored Core with my arcade stick back in the early PS1 days. It worked out pretty good actually.

I think all arcade sticks are wired through the d pad.

There are no arcade sticks that have their stick wired to the analog stick afaik. BTW, that stick your looking at is pretty crappy. If you want a stick for fighters and shmups, get yourself a Hori Real Arcade Pro, a little more expensive, but alot better quality.
