AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

i just lost little over an hours worth of gametime on Untold legends 2.

what is werid is im charging my battery to 100% but i seem to only be getting 3-4 hours of gametime tops (is this normal)

it would been nice to have a warrning that the system was about to die (save your game now.) But instead all i got was a black screen with a battery flashing with a line though it and the system shuts off.

at least the DS warns you when the battery is low

plug it into the wall to get it to charge. When the system popped back on it put me at my last save . so i did lose an hour + of gameplay.

guess i will just have to save every 15 mins to make sure i dont lost gameplay time again. sort of really sucks

About 15-20 minutes before the juice dies, the green light starts flash.

werid my light didnt flash (unless i was too much into the gameplay i didnt see it)

man im hooked on untold legends 2 , but now i got to wait for my stupid system to recharge itself to play it again. Lucky i was just wondering around and didnt lose much equipment.

Yeah the green light starts to flash a while before it dies. If there was one thing I'd like it's being able to see the percentage of the charge without having to go into Battery Information.

I'm surprised you have to start over, usually when the battery dies and I recharge it goes right back to where I left off. Then again, maybe I'm just thinking of when I turn it off.

Mine almost died on me today too while I was playing lumines...I suddenly checked the battery and it was almost empty...I immediatley shut it off, no way was I going to lose the score I had going, someone would have died

I think Sony should release a firmware update where a battery indicator would flash somewhere on the top left/right screen (5 min warning before the battery dies). If this is even possible...

It's a good idea. I hope they can do it.

Yea, the light always flashes when the battery is close to dying, but often your right thumb obscures the view of the light.

OP, you should seriously consider buying a second battery. That would alleviate the whole "having to wait for it to charge" problem. I think I have a sealed one around here I would part with for $20 shipped.

I know when I'm really getting into a game, my right thumb blocks the green battery light. So I have to slide it aside & check on the light every now and then.

Dude, slidecage, stop making these ridiculous threads. If you are capable of posting on this website, then you can search the internet for answers to your own questions. Jesus Christ, you are one lazy $$$$er.

Um, if you hit the Home button in mid-game it will give you a reading of how low your battery is, so check it often when playing... that's what I do.

Personally, I never had a problem with the battery running out. The longest I ever played my PSP in a session was for 2 hours (I normally play games for a max of 2 hours, per session on any console/handheld). EVERYTIME I finish playing my PSP, I charge it right away, whether I'm at home or in a car.

I've actually tried to run out of battery many times, but I never seem to be able to do so when I want to.

I had my battery run out once in the middle of X-Men Legends 2. Plugged it into the wall, powered it up while it was charging, and I was right where I left off.

What annoys me is that the psp doesnt give a time left if you use the new bigger battery(2200 MaH I believe).

For everyone's information:

When you power your PSP off the fast way (not holding the switch in the power position for a few seconds, but just pushing it up and letting it go), your game is saved where it is, like a sleep mode. As long as the battery is not removed, the game will start up where you left off, even if the battery dies. Taking the battery out erases the temporary memory, and your unsaved game state with it.

This would be stepping on the toes of developers but it would be pretty easy to put a battery meter on the game's pause screen. Since different games have different power usage profiles, the estimate time remaining could be more accurate than what the firmware alone can offer. A game's developer scan get detailed stats during playtesting. Supplying some compact optimized code for use in games would be a useful addition to the dev kit.

When I was playing Tales of Eternia I noticed it had a battery indicator at the top right corner. It's the only I have seen so far that had that though.
