decent deal on a TV for Xbox 360

knowing that to game in the next gen you need a HDTV, I am looking for one to maximize a 360. So where is there a cheapass TV to maximize the 360?

What kind of price range are you looking at? Also, the cheapest of cheapass ways is VGA if you have a decent monitor.

I am looking around 300...i need a smaller TV, 15-20 inch would be fine. would a VGA allow me to have the great quality?

Definitely VGA with a computer monitor would be better, since you can substitute 720p with the monitors res. I haven't looked at lcd tv's of that size in most places, but I know the ones wal-mart sells are only 640 x 480 or whatever and that won't get you the 720p picture you want.

That small, you should just go with a PC monitor. I'd recommend a Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP. People on SlickDeals.net get them often with computer bundles for cheap, when there are 40% off coupons, so there are a lot of them on eBay. You can get one for right around $300 shipped, maybe a little over, $320 or so.

The resolution is 1050vertical, I think, so it's damn near capable of 1080p. 1080p would be scaled to the 1050, and look damn good. You'll see 720p in all its glory, and they're widescreen. This model is 20.1".

You would want to use DVI rather than VGA, most likely.
