www.midnightbox.com (http://www.midnightbox.com)
is selling Mystery Boxes for $6 shipped to celebrate their birthday!
YAY. I got a USB massager and some hands free sets from the last box.

Happy birthday to midnight box and good luck with everyone's boxes!

/edit/ wow, they actually sold out this time. Hmm, I think you can still register and grab 2000 quick points (that's usually the points you get from buying 2 items right when they appear!) if you wish midnightbox.com happy birthday and by posting on the forums.

I got some really crappy tool set and usb mouse, but I had to buy another mystery box. Hopefully I will get something good this time!

In for 1.. This mystery box lasts a seemingly eternity longer than the (actually and really) famous Woot.com Bag Of Crap.

If this were a BOC on Woot, it would have been sold out before you could even post a message at CAG. Maybe Woot should start limiting it to 1 per person...or maybe that's why it doesn't sell as well at Midnightbox.

btw, is midnightbox.com just like woot.com but you earn points when you make purchases?

I went ahead and got one. Lol. I like surprises. Hope it's at least worth $6. :)

Well, in the last mystery box, they promised that it would be worth more than $20, and I suppose it was. Retail doesn't really mean anything if it sucks.
But yeah, I like surprises too. It's like buying a birthday gift..yay!
But anyway, yeah midnightbox.com is like woot.
Updates at 9pm pacific, but only one piece of the item is revealed. You can order it from the get-go and get more points but you won't know what it is and you can't return it.
I usually wait about half an hour until someone guesses correctly (you get points for that) and see if it's good then.

Recently they've been having store returns that've been selling out super fast, like in 10 minutes.
Like for $30 shipped, you get one of 6 mystery stereos, and another day had $30 shipped for either a robosapien, robodinosaur or whatever, and the other robot.

You can redeem the points you get for some good stuff, but it'll take a LONG time to get the points for anything decent.

Oh, they had something for $10 shipped and it weighed like 10 pounds, so I figured it must be worth it. I bought it and it was a universal Intec steering wheel. If anyone's interested, I can probably sell it to em if they pay for shipping.

OH, and before, for $30 or $40, they had something that weighed over 40 pounds or something, and it turns out a buncha people bought a crapload of paper. :)

My coffers are running dry, but I can't resist the potential of a random shipment of stuff when it's the site's anniversary!

invinceable104, I don't know if you use the same name over there or if you earn anything, but I put your screenname as my referral.

I ordered one last night. How long do these usually take to arrive?

Thanks dafunkk12. Yeah, it's the same name over there.
I don't know if you earn anything for referrals, but I do know that you get 2000 points for wishing midnight box happy birthday and posting it somewhere on the web and posting the link on their forums.
Hmm, that's 1/5th of a T-shirt, I think. I'd just go and hide it on my blog somewhere.

/edit/ Hmm, I think technically if you post happy birthday in this thread, and tell them your screenname with this url (and perhaps the post #), you could get the 2000 because you are wishing them happy birthday and it's on the web..

@FFMooglestar: The shipping itself is super quick, but I think it takes time for them to package the things. It's usually real quick, so I think you'll get it before the week is done.

Hm, I got those exact things.
1) that's one small ass mouse
2) What the hell is a USB car charger dealie for?
Don't USB gadgets get power from the computer/outlet?

And you get a balloon and a candle, and instructions to sing happy birthday to midnightbox.com

Hmm, I'd hoped that it would be something interesting, or at least different than what everyone got. On that note I'd gotten exactly what others have gotten, but had promptly broken the rewinder on the optical mouse.

I got a 4way USB splitter, a retracting cable thing, a balloon, a candle, and a foam computer toy that my cat and my kid both hate.

Yeahhh, I'm pretty sure I'm done with their stupid mystery boxes.

edit: hmm, I already regret saying that. Yeah, I'm probably in for the next one.

Ditto.
It's actually a micro-sized 4-port USB hub and a retractable ethernet cable. My balloon had a hole in it :oldman:

I thought the squishy computer was rather nifty, especially since it's branded with the MidnightBox.com logo and slogan, they didn't just get a heaping of someone else's trash to put in as filler <cough> Panda Express<cough>.

Same here as well. A little disappointed since I had heard about people getting pretty much the same stuff before. I was hoping for at least something.. different so it'd be more of a surprise. =p

I ended up with 2 things. The first thing I got is Timex clock radio. This one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000092TSX/104-7710962-3139930?v=glance&n=172282
It seems pretty nice, though it was returned as defective according to the sticker on the box. It does seem to work though.

The other thing I got is a memory card reader cleaner.
