This is my first time on CAG so I hope that you cut me some slack. I am an old school gamer that has recently gotten back into gaming. I have been playing this game for a couple of weeks and I have managed to reach what seems to be the end of the game. At any rate, I was wondering if anybody out there has finished the Knights of the Old Republic and if so could you give me some idea of how to make it past the robots in the room after you beat Bastilla? Thanks for the input. I am going to try all of those ideas and I will get back to you with the outcome!!!!

attack, then save, if you are hit then reload and repate. Or hit the enemy a bunch of times then run and wait for your force bar to fill up.

I'm not sure what level you are talking about, but if it's the Star Forge, then you have to disable the robot machines by picking up parts from destroyed robots and using them to shut down the droid making machines. Hope that helps. If not, you could always look on gamefaqs. That hurts to even mention.

Man, this has just rekindled my want to play this game. Last time I played I had just become a Jedi and gotten my lightsaber. Might have to go back and start playing again.

You need to hack the computers next to the robot making machines, and turn them off. If you run out of computer spikes kill some of the robots, and spikes will appear in the bins.

I love KOTOR.

You could also just run away and go through the door that Malak went through. My character is a scoundrel class, so not sure if that made a difference.

You can do that? Do you have to pick the lock?

Kotor is one of my top 5 games of all time. Better story than the first three movies that Lucas masacred.

If you're talking about the part in the Star Forge where you are locked in a room where robots keep spawning, I remember that I also got stuck there. You have to turn off the machines that spawn the robots. I believe that you can do this by either getting parts from the robot's dead bodies, or by getting spikes from the bins next to the computer consoles.

You're almost to the end of the game, the ending is amazing.

I thought I'd kinda take over this thread real quick instead of making another one. This has also made me wanna go and play this game again, yet I don't have it anymore. I never played the second one, and I was wondering: should I just buy the original or the second one? Or simpler put: which one's better? I don't think I'd be able to finish both of them, so I'm not considering playing/buying both of 'em right now.

I would just stick with the first one. The second one is still really good, but very rushed feeling.

Definitely the original one. The second one was disappointing. Mainly because the last 25% or so of it was terrible. The game doesn't even really have an ending.

Alright, thanks for the input. I'm sure I could find the game pretty cheap.

People are overbashing the second one. Both are well worth your time, and the quality difference is negligible. However, I'd play the first one first because there are elements of the story in part 2 that refer to the first game.

You honestly don't think the last part of the game was disappointing?

Just like another one of my favorite games of all time, Deus Ex.

Well, now I went out and bought a copy again yesterday at GameStop. Since its Backwards Compatible, and there aren't many RPG's on the 360, I thought it sounded like a good idea...
