I just reinstalled firefox and for some reason whenever I open it the colors on my computer get all shitty and when I close firefox the colors change back to normal. :bomb:

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: I managed to fix the problem, but now I have another one.

How do you get firefox to open with a full screen, but not the type of fullscreen pressing f11 gives you? It's the one where firefox just fits the size of your monitor.

Interesting. Is your screen running in 16-bit mode instead of 32-bit mode? or even 8-?

It's usually at 32, but it changes to 8 and then back to 32 when I close firefox.

Generally, a browser should remember what it was like when you closed it. If you make it 3x3 in the left corner, thats how it should open up. Same with maximized.

Yeah, so just try maximizing it, closing it, and reopening it to see if it remembers its previous setting.

I tried, but whenever I close and open firefox it still opens small.

You have to exit via the exit item in the file menu. Just using the window close X doesn't make it remember settings. Lots of applications work this way.

It still doesn't save the settings. D:

Either hold shift or ctrl or alt when you close it. It's one of those to make windows remember settings.

Dude, I just pressed f11....kick ass. It's like I have a new eye or something. Maybe I should start reading instructions and stuff.

No luck with any of those. :bomb:

Fucking firefox decided to be shitty this week and delete all my bookmarks, and now I can't even edit it anymore.

Could be something messed up in your profile. Have a look at this:

Some stuff about losing your bookmarks:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=420835

Generally, everything that controls how Firefox works is contained in your profile folder which is down in:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<some wierd name>.default

If something gets messed up down in there, even uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox won't help, because your profile doesn't get deleted. It gets reused for the new install so that you don't lose all of your custom settings.

If you really get desparate and want to reinstall, I would uninstall Firefox, then rename the profile path at "Mozilla" to something like "Mozillashaqfued" and then reinstall. This way, you will get a fresh default profile when you reinstall.

Thank you. I fixed my window. All my bookmarks are still gone though.

Oh well.
