Tablet PC Help

For a graduation present from college my brothers are puting money together to buy me a laptop.

I have decided that I want a tablet. I have a fairly powerful home PC so i dont need the fastest laptop.

And I would like to have a DVD rom with the tablet.

The only thing I dont like about it is it is a little big and quite heavy. Do you guys have any suggestions on good tablets in this price range. And I am pretty stuck in this range. So even something like $1200 would be too much.

Are you talking about the quality, or support? Or something else.

Both. Their PCs are a fucking pain to work on. Not that you'd open a tablet, but their shit breaks a lot. Additionally, they've been going into the shitter for the past few years. I'm amazed they're even in business. I used to work with an ex Gateway employee and he told me some horror stories about how fucking dumb they are.
