How the hell is "24" getting beaten by such crap like "Survivor?" I mean you can only watch near naked people eat bugs so many times.... right?
There is stuff other than sports on tv?

ABC should be happy its even at that since its up against Karaoke Stupidity aka American Idol.
And I'm not sorry for calling that piece of shit "show" as how I see it. Its a karaoke contest. Enough said.

I watch both shows. Survivor is the same in many ways, but the different people always make it good. 24, on the other hand, is starting to be the same now. I think Jack and CTU need to break ties for good.
And Arrested Development at 123 is pathetic. Now every time I hear "The Final Countdown" at sporting events, etc., I laugh thinking of Gob and pennies or lighter fluid.

You kiddin' me? People watch House? I can't stand that guy.
24 has never been the top rated show. 24 is more popular in DVD sales, as most people can't wait a week between episodes. It's pretty cool to see the Unit so high up. It's hard to swallow the fact that more people watch Two and a Half Men than 24.
Whoa.. poor Scrubs. Now that's sad. Scrubs is one of the best shows out there.
More people watched Joey than Alias. I had no idea the OC was doing this badly.

Boston Legal at 46 is a disappointment...
Scrubs at 96 is a defilement of all that is good in this world.

I'm surprised that American Dad and Family Guy aren't that high up there. Also, why do they have The War At Home as an ABC show?

Why the fuck are so many people watching Two and a Half Men?
It's not funny... at all.
The whole bottom of the list is nothing but UPN and WB  It's really sad to see Veronica Mars doing so badly... get that shit off UPN, right away!
And it looks like NBC just cancelled every show that did shitty in the ratings, except for Scrubs. I guess this means Teachers won't be back (but I never watched it).

This list is suspect. Some of these shows were cancelled long ago...

Lost should be way up there. Dancing with the Stars should be at the very bottom. How could anyone watch that shit?

 I really enjoy all of you discussing which piece of shit should have been higher than that other piece of shit. You're talking about *PRIME TIME TV*. It's all shit, in the end, whether or not it's entertaining. Here's another secret: it's all shit, whether or not you think it has some redeeming moral values or quality that other shows lack.
That having been said, I did have two observations I'd like to comment on:
1) "America's Funniest Home Videos" is not only still on the air, but immensely popular still? Wow. It must be the TV equivalent of internet porn, because apparently everybody watches it, but nobody admits to it.
2) Thanks to my TiVo, I was able to watch the first six episodes of NBC's "Book of Daniel." Despite its myriad problems, we found it pretty enjoyable, though we didn't expect it to stay on the air very long. 10PM on a Friday night is where shows go to die. It's television hospice, and no place for a show to debut unless you want to kill it quickly. And they did - even though only 8 episodes had been made, they pulled the show off the air after 6. In my estimation, ratings must have been *APALLINGLY* low. So, this list, to my surprise, shows that they averaged 7.7 million viewers. That can't be too bad compared to other Friday 10PM shows, right? Not bad enough that NBC had to kill the show before aring two more episodes? I don't recall what replaced it, but I bet that it wouldn't have killed it to wait two weeks to replace it so they could let the Book of Daniel play out. Fuckers.

Family Guy is only a cult hit at best and American Dad is just awful. Forgive my bluntness.

What don't you like? The witty dialog? The smart and fast moving stories that aren't the normal stupid sitcom fare. The intelligent and subtle jokes that are just as funny the second time you see the episode, making AD far more rewatchable then any other show on TV? The fact the show takes risks with the characters and story and everything doesn't always return to the status quo at the end of the episode? The tons of guest stars who appear on the show, and the fact that the guest stars aren't the most important part of the episodes, unlike many other shows? ;)
This list is suspect. Some of these shows were cancelled long ago...
I think the list is just the average viewers over the entire 05-06 season.
