Not sure if this should have gone in the PSP forums or what, but decided this was a good place since I'm talking about the price.
Why is this game still $40 ($50 in some places) when the PS2 version is only $20? I was hoping the PSP version would drop in price with the PS2 version but am shocked that it hasn't even though the PSP version is budget priced. WTF?

I agree - I've been waiting for a while to pick this up for less than $20...

I have to admit... there's a more scandeleous reason for me for wanting LCS on the PSP (something to do with firmware upgrade 2.6). Plus, the PS2 version is a port so I hoping to enjoy the game on the system it was meant to be on.

Yeah, it doesn't really make sense that its still full price. I would think most if not all PSP owners have a PS2 also so they would just buy the cheaper version.

I suspect we'll probably see some kind of drop on the PSP version within the next week or two to the $20ish area. Or maybe not.

it's because people are still buying it for um playing other stuff

maybe rockstar purposely made it hackable so people would buy it.

Sort of Rockstar's reasoning (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/gtalibertycitystories/news.html?sid=6145557) why the PSP version should be more expensive, or something to that effect:
Perhaps more telling was Eibeler's revelation that Liberty City Stories will cost less on the PS2 than it does for the PSP. "We've been very, very successful at full price on the PSP, which is a different type of consumer," he said. "We've delivered a new game for the PSP, that's a $249 purchase, and we're looking at lower pricing on Liberty City Stories for the console, which is a $149 or below purchase."
