Could someone tell me about the pedestrian glitch thats supposed to plague the Xbox version and whether there's a fix out for it? Now that there's a price drop, I think I may pick this game up but I remember hearing about some weird glitch a while back.

ive never heard of a glitch with the xbox version...i guess thats because i have the ps2 version...but doing a simple "pedestrian glitch xbox gta" google search gave me this...im assuming this is what you were talking about

- Sound Problems: The radio stations initially seem to have a volume level that is simply too low. After all, if I am going terrorize people, that not only includes shooting and running people over, but driving really slowly and blaring Pantera at them is also vital. This is easily fixed by upping the music volume and lowering the sound fx level, though. Also, during some cutscenes, the voice gets cut off, leaving you to read the subtitles to catch the tail end of what was being said, so this is also a very minor problem. However, another sound problem is very apparent and unfortunate, and that's the now-famous "pedestrian glitch" found on the VC disc. After several minutes of gameplay, the pedestrians (passersby, policemen, carjackees, victims, etc) all fall mute for no apparent reason. The sound seems to jump back to life if police are on your tail, but as soon as your wanted level is gone, so is the chatter. It's a glitch that doesn't necessarily affect the game's play at all, but for those expecting a complete port of VC, it's a bit of a letdown, though Rockstar is apparently working on a fix to this problem.

Did you finish Manhunt? I've talked to lots of people who didn't like the game but never played enough to get to the fun/challenging parts. When I bought the game at release i played it a few days got bored with it and went back to whatever else i was playing then about a week later i got back into it kept playin it and got hooked on it. It's a good game IF you don't get bored on the early levels.
