I'm at a friends house right now trying to install Warcraft III and set up a Battlenet account for him, but I'm having a lot of trouble.
The game installed fine, as did Frozen Throne. When I try to boot the game up, however, the loading screen (with the orc-thing) will pop up, the entire screen will turn black, and error message will sound, and then I'll be back at the desktop like nothing happened.
I tried installing all the new video and sound drivers required and DX9, but that didn't work. I checked his computer's specs, and they meet all of the requirements.
Contacting Blizzard was't any help. First they sent me an automated message which told me to do what I already had done. When I finally got hold of a rep, they gave me the run-around and I'm still stuck.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?
